1. Campus Auditing: Environmental - Complete an environmental audit of the Ball State University campus within a six-month timeframe. Faculty Expertise - Complete a comprehensive assessment of the areas of expertise held by BSU faculty, which are related to sustainability issues. Projects and Schools - Establishment of Ball State as a facilitator of audits which explore the environmental impacts of operating public schools, and the broader community.

2. Development Staff: Provide organizational structure and person power to support and sustain the G2 initiatives.

3. Recycling Program: Decrease the volume and percentage of recyclable materials being discarded by Ball State University.

4. Bikeway System: Establish a comprehensive bikeway system throughout the Ball State campus.

5. Fuel Efficient/Hybrid Vehicles:

Minimize Ball State's contribution to global warming by the maximization of fuel efficiency, and promotion of cost effectiveness by increasing university vehicle gas mileage.

6. Fuel Use/Energy Conservation/Heating Plant: Retrofit / reconfiguration of the BSU Heating Plant to bring it into compliance with Federal Clean Air standards.

7. Clustered Minors: Increase participation by students in sustainability education.

8. Green Issues Awareness/Trunk Show: General Awareness/Public Relations - Elevate public awareness of green issues and of Ball State's environmental successes. Educational - Create an awareness for school groups, service clubs and general audiences about sustainability issues by use of a touring "trunk show".

9. Environmental Education Resource Center: Promote a greater understanding (by K-12 students, BSU students and the general public) about the environment, the use and management of resources, and about decision-making that embodies sustainability.

10. University Core Curriculum (UCC) Goals/Freshman Connection:

Increase exposure of students to sustainability principles in curricular requirements and universal programs.
