Background:Beautification is the process of making visual improvements to a person,

place or thing. With regard to a town, city or to an urban area, this most often involves

planting trees, shrubbery, and other greenery, but frequently also includes adding

decorative or historic-style street lights and entry gates and replacing broken pavement,

    often withbrickor other natural materials.

Beautification projects are often undertaken by the DU authority with the help of the city

corporation to refurbish the campus area, in order to boost tourism and build student

oriented, environment friendly campus. If we look forward to beautify our campus we have

to plant more trees, reduce traffic problems, use dustbins and be responsible to keep our

    campus clean and green.

Importance: A beautifully and innovatively made University campus can add a

wonderful effect to a student and a visitors mind. DU has been undergoing severe

environmental pollution with rubbish and dust lying everywhere in the campus. Students

and general people gathering in the campus are not aware of this phenomenon. So

redefining DU as a university of environmental improvements and coping with climatic

change prove to be the necessity of making such a report. So taking a project to keep this

campus clean and green one is very important. It could be a modest visual investment that

may produce long-lasting and intangible rewards.

Objectives: The main objectives of the report are

To create awareness among the general students

To grab the attention of authority

    To improve the environmental condition

To influence the other departments and the concerned authority to take required

    measures

To cope with the modern climate change

Methodology: A methodology is instantiated and materialized by a set of methods,

techniques and tools. It doesn't describe specific methods; nevertheless it does specify

several processes that need to be followed. These processes constitute a generic framework.

In order to collect information for beautifying DU campus, we can follow:

Expertise survey: Taking opinions of some expertise people or authority

Public survey: Taking opinions of general students and people

These two surveys include a questionnaire.
