With developments built throughout the South West and further afield, we ensure that each neighbourhood we create comprises of homes, not just houses, embracing the local design code and the use of sustainable products that are kind to the environment, where possible, such as our timber frames.

HELP TO BUY

• If you have a 5% deposit and want to buy a new build home through Harrington Homes, you will be able to access the HELP TO BUY Equity Loan scheme. Subject to meeting HELP TO BUY qualifying criteria.

• HELP TO BUY is available for First Time Buyers purchasing a new build home, buying a property up to the value of £349,000*.

• HELP TO BUY is available those are buying a home for the very first time.

• You do need to be a First Time Buyer.

• What is important to remember that you are only able to use HELP TO BUY when buying a new build property and you must have a 5% deposit.

• The Government will provide you with an equity loan of up to 20% of the value of the new build property.

• The loan is interest free for the first five years, from year 6 a fee of 1.75% is payable on the equity loan, which rises annually by Retail Price Index inflation plus 1%.

• The equity loan can be repaid at any time within 25 years (of the term of the mortgage), or on sale of the property if earlier.

• HELP TO BUY is only available on a capital repayment mortgage. It is not available on interest only loans.

• HELP TO BUY will only be available on properties which are occupied by the individualor individuals taking out the mortgage. You cannot buy a property using HELP TO BUY and then rent it out.

• Our Independent Financial Advisor can provide you with information on the lenders who support the scheme and subject to you meeting the lender’s loan criteria, they can assist you in obtaining a mortgage.
