Narrative: DP WAS INTOXICATED AND STATED SHE HAS BEEN ON THE TRACKS SINCE YESTERDAY. DP MADE STATEMENTS THAT SHE INTENDED TO COMMIT SUICIDE. SHE WAS FOUND PASSED OUT, LAYING ACROSS THE TRACKS, WITH HER HEAD RESTING ON THE RAIL. Nursing home staff just wanted to report what was happening and that the involved's mother is a patient who's health care proxy has stated will have no contact with the involved subject. Spoke with involved who was very upset that she was not allowed to talk with her mother, I attempted to explain that it was because the person with the legal right to make that decision stated that there will be no contact, and that if she disagrees with the proxy's decision that she would have to get a court order to reverse the proxy. I gave her the number for the Mass Elder Services hot line for an agency who may be able to better address her concerns, and also informed her not to take her frustrations out on the nursing staff as they are doing what they have to by law.
