Virtual Meeting Expectations / Expectativas para Una Reunión Virtual
To begin the 2020-2021 academic year with remote learning at home for all students beginning September 8th through November 13th.
KCSD will continue to evaluate the situation for a potential change to the educational model post November 16th; with plans to announce any changes at the October 12th Board Meeting.

The Kennett Consolidated School District remote learning plan will support the all learners in their personal areas of need through our specialized staff and programs. The following areas are considered in this plan:

Q: How can students get technology support or request a Chromebook and/or internet hotspot?
A: Send an email to [email protected]: Email should contain the information below and someone will follow-up to schedule a time to pickup at the Technology Office during an upcoming Tuesday morning, (8-11am) or Thursday afternoon, (2-4pm).

What Will Remote Learning Look Like?
● How will students access instruction/curriculum? Students will access curriculum via Schoology; will have live, whole group and small-group instruction. District will work with teachers to provide a balance of synchronous (live) and asynchronous instruction. Synchronous instruction will be recorded.
● Will students have daily access to teachers? Yes, teachers will be conducting live instruction every day & will be able to respond to students. Teachers will focus on technology needed with the students starting on day 1; Lessons developed to teach the tools.
What Will Remote Learning Look Like?
● What happens if students need help with work? Teachers will schedule small groups/individual support time or support service staff will schedule a time (e.g. reading specialists, ELD teacher, Learning support teacher, etc.) with students.
● Will students be in front of a screen all day? No. The day will include a combination of on-screen instruction and off-screen activity. Breaks will be built into the school day for screen-free time.
