Thanks to a special procedure for the preservation of our natural materials they retain their fresh green colour In the next stage we use our moss factory to handcraft unique moss pictures and walls We always keep in mind to ensure that the elements are easy to install and that our customers get a detailed project consultation

Of course we also produce more complex customer ideas such as cladding of columns large objects or even entire cubes (mitered)

The evergreen elements are exceptionally impressive within an indoor space when various moss types are combined or unique variants are used

Considering the manual and delicate labor that goes into the production we can literally be called a manufactory Our moss products are exclusively produced in Germany

Freund Moosmanufaktur is a permanent part of Freund GmbH As experienced trading partner and manufacturer of decorative materials for wall coverings we were looking for vertical indoor greenery which does not need care or watering In 2007 we had achieved our first positive results by making moss durable therefore creating an indoor vegetation solution with moss pictures and moss walls accessible for a broader public Since 2008 we are on the market with our moss products and as one of the first manufacturers in Europe have co-founded the trend of natural indoor moss walls

For the production of our green wall elements we use only real mosses and plants Right from the start of production we pay special attention to sustainability Only individual moss areas are harvested - and this is done manually and with great care so that the growth of natural resources is not affected

The natural moss is cleaned in a resource-friendly way and conserved it then gets its intense colour by natural colourants which we then turn into our key products Evergreen Moss (reindeer moss) Greenhill Moss (bun moss) and Greenwood Moss (forest moss)

From small moss picture to a large surface area Evergreen Moss Premium has a calming effect regulating indoor climate and absorbing sound

For a more natural look it is also possible to cover the frame of your moss picture with moss instead of aluminum or wood For this the moss is pulled over the edges which gives the impression of moss growing directly on the wall

A real alternative to ldquodo it yourselfrdquo moss installation are our product solutions Evergreen Moss Standard and Evergreen Moss Flex Both products are ideal for easy self-assembly The panels can be applied flat in convex or concave form around objects or as a normal moss wall

The Standard panel can be easily bent while the Flex panel can be applied around even rounder objects due to its flexibility This means there are no limits to your own creativity in decorating rooms with moss

Easy installation of the moss panels is guaranteed They are attached to a wooden subsurface with a stapler (an electric one for instance) screwed together or directly glued One Evergreen Moss Standard box includes five panels (11 msup2) The Evergreen Moss Flex panels are single-packed

Here at Moss manufactory we only work with real moss For Evergreen Moss Premium Evergreen Moss Standard and Evergreen Moss Flex we use a reindeer moss for Greenhill Moss a cushion (bun) moss and for Greenwood Moss a forest moss The moss is cleaned partly dyed preserved and then attached to a carrier panel

We usually use an 1 cm strong MDF mount as foundation on which the approximate 3 to 7 cm thick and preserved moss is attached to This base panel can also be changed upon request

When ordering Evergreen Moss Premium Greenhill Moss or Greenwood Moss a moss frame which overlaps the panel corners by 3 cm and the individual split battens can be ordered upon request

The moss is arranged neatly around the corners of the MDF mount this ensures that the panel itself cannot be seen anymore

The split battens allow you to easily mount and remove the moss to and from the walls One batten is already attached to the back of the moss panel the respective batten for the wall is included as well Another option is to mount the moss surfaces directly onto a carrier panel

All shapes and sizes are possible 2D as well as 3D We individually design your project and as the manufacturer we can realize almost every idea you have

None of our moss pictures and moss walls need any grooming watering lighting or feeding

For all our moss products we recommend a room humidity between 40 and 60 to preserve its haptic and optical features If the humidity drops below this recommended threshold a change in the moss texture can occur Dry air during the winter can make the moss thicker and therefore change its haptics The moss will become soft and fresh once the humidity returns to its recommended levels Please note that moss is a natural material Due to the characteristics of the moss and the presentation the colours in the photos may vary slightly
