The Council Members’ face-to-face meeting held in Bangkok on the 6th February 2015, marked a number of significant milestones in the history of the International Chapter.

This included the setting up of the International Chapter into two important regions.

Region 1: America, Brunei, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand and North Asia (China and Hong Kong).

Region 2: Africa, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar, India, Sri Lanka and UK/Europe.

This structure will enhance the communication and closer coordination amongst the Members and branch representatives for their respective areas.

HISTORY OF THE INTERNATIONAL CHAPTER

The establishment of the International Chapter in 2012 became the 7th Chapter for the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. This structure better services the membership needs and enquiries of our valued International Members.

Prior to the establishment of the International Chapter, all 'overseas' Members came under the ACT Chapter. The ACT Chapter (with the OSS Section Committee), laid the important foundation for the International Chapter to build upon.
