SHEEP CHEESE
Eating sheep milk products is connected to longevity. The high percentage of protein and less than 1 % milk fat give this cheese excellent properties for liver regeneration and blood sugar regulation. As one of the most delicious healthy foods, it is adored by many cheese lovers, and furthermore, our homemade sheep cheese is made only a few hundred meters from where you are now.
PREBRANAC This traditional dish is well-known in almost every household throughout the Balkans, but, due to the cultural diversity of the area, it has different names in different areas. It means “baked beans”. We prepare prebranac according to an old traditional recipe – which almost always results in an empty plate, a full stomach and a smile of satisfaction on the face.
KACHK AVAL
Kachkaval is a type of stretched cheese made of sheep or cow milk. It is originally produced throughout southern Italy, especially in Apennine Mountains and Gargano Peninsula, but its production has extended to all of the Balkans. It is shaped like a drop, and has a rich salty and mildly spicy flavor, which makes it perfect for those who love more exciting flavors. We serve it fried.
SASL JIK
Known also as the skewer of the East, šašljik was originally made exclusively with lamb. On its way to the West, it was transformed, and today exists in many variants, from pork to beef, depending on local and religious customs. The skewers consist of only pieces of meat, or pieces or meat, fat and vegetables such as bell pepper, onion, mushrooms and tomato alternately arranged. Bon appétit!
