• Finite element modelling to determine potential high-stress areas for consideration during product design and manufacture

• Ore-specific ball charge trajectory simulations (DEM) to ensure liner designs deliver optimum grinding efficiency

• Mechanical 3D computer modelling• All drive trains are designed and constructed to meet American Gear Manufacturing Association

(AGMA) standards and recommendations• Material grades selected to optimise durability and strength.

REFURBISHMENT AND RELOCATION OF PRE-OWNED MILLS Budgetary or time constraints sometimes negate the purchase of a new mill. It is now common practice to refurbish or convert previously-owned mills. For example, a ball mill can be converted into a SAG mill or a rod mill into a ball mill.

Refurbishment is treated as a turnkey project, beginning with the removal of the mill, redesign when required; obtaining replacement equipment, detailed renovation of mill components, transportation, installation, commissioning and maintenance.
