US Air strikes targets Islamic state leaders in Iraq
Baghdad: The gathering of lead-
ers of the Islamic State jihadists
group in northwestern Iraq was at-
tacked via airstrikes by the fighter
jets of the United States. Accord-
ing to Iraqi officials, number of top
militants had been killed in this at-
tack.
Two Iraqi officials said that at least
one strike had targeted a meeting
near the town of Quaim, which is
in Anbar province, just across the
border of the Syrian town of Buka-
mal. Both of the officials also said
that this airstrike has killed many
militants including two of its re-
gional governors from the Islamic
state which is also known as ISIL
or ISIS. Also the strong rumors
were circulated in the air that the
group leader Abu Bakr al-Bagh-
dadi was in the same meeting and
he was either killed or wounded,
however they said that they had no
confirmed information about al-
Baghdadi’s presence at the meet-
ing.
Although the death of group leader
is not confirmed yet, but if it is then
this will surely blow out the group
and would indicate that US defi-
nitely has its allies and the means
of tracking some of its important
figures.

Tourism hub faces difficulty of transportation
Natraj Chowk, Rishikesh: Rishikesh which is best known for tours and
travels should be the place with affluent transportations but the condition
however is not the way it should be and it is very much evident from the
condition prevailing at the Natraj Chowk bus station.
Natraj chowk bus station faces the
severe crisis of public transporta-
tion and there are very few buses
available for Narendra Nagar route.
The public buses run in long time
span of around two to three hours
due to which people have to opt for
the private buses which charges a
lot more than that of the public bus.
Above all to make the situation
even worse there is neither private nor public bus facility available after
seven in the evening. This transportation crisis puts the people travelling
on this route a hard nut to crack.

Ganga near Ram jhula on Novem-

Village CallingThe students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Delhi visited Madsi, a small vil-
lage in Rishikesh. This was a task where students were asked to do as
per the curriculum of the study tour.
This village is situated approximately
20kms away from this resort. Students
had to walk for approximately two to
three kilometers after getting down
from the bus. So, it was somewhat dif-
ficult but the enthusiasm and longing
to meet the village dwellers was above
all tiredness. Their visit proved to be
fruitful as they discussed problems
which the senior citizens face there.
They talked about promoting education and sanitation issues which the
villages deal with. After enquiring, they realized that they have schooling
facility till 12th standard. Another hardship these people face all the time
is power-cut for long hours.. The question is how much time will the gov-
ernment take to uplift this condition. Gurdeep Dhiman TVP-01

Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan
Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, a na-
tional level campaign initiated by
the Government of India was offi-
cially launched on 2nd October
2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi. Prime
Minister Narendra Modi himself
was seen wielding broom for the
first time.
Although this campaign triggered a
positive attitude in people for being
sensitive towards their environ-
ment, but still there were places
which were not strictly following
this initiative. Garbage dumped
over the roadsides by people is still
noticeable. The government is
working hard for this cleanliness
drive. This is a campaign which
has been carried forward since it
has come into action.
Recently, PM Narendra Modi was
seen as an active participant for
carrying forward his campaign at
Assi Ghat, his Lok Sabha
constituency.

Teach them too...
Education is very important for
everyone, but it holds its utmost
importance for girls and women.
Education opens the gate for a
wider view of opportunities.
Women are the roots of life cycle,
so it becomes very important that
they should be imparted with qual-
ity education. Educated girls are
likely to marry later and have a
small and healthy family. Mostly,
education enables a woman to
know their rights and arises confi-
dence to present herself in front of
the society. Investment in girl’s ed-
ucation can result in good payback
for the families. Educated women
can lead educated generation.
They can also represent the liter-
acy rate in the society.
I don’t mind, if I have to sit on the
floor at school,
All I want is good education and I
am afraid of no one…

National language On The Verge of Extinction
Today, we are living in the so called modern India, an India where new
generation is advanced enough but the biggest hinderance that they
face is there own mother tongue “Hindi”.The question that rises in my
mind is that why today’s generation is not intrested in their own lan-
guage?
Hindi is a language which is not only the National language of India
but it is also one of the beautiful language. But now a days it seems as
if people are hardly interested in speaking & writing in hindi . People
now feel fancy when they talk in english and feel ashamed while talk-
ing in hindi since this is not an international language.
The ever-growing language in India has turned us to be English. The
reasons are many. One is that people are given admission to their re-
quired organisations or institutions on the basis of their command in
english . But it does not mean we forget how important hindi language
is. People communicate in hindi and feel comfortable in expressing
themselves. Extinction of animals and endangered species might not
be in everybody’s hands but let us not make this language extinct. Let
us love and respect our language.
