11. Employees Insurance &Gratuity: Dear Sir, Many Companies
are adopted /Started following type of suitable beneficiary Plans.
Employees Insurance and Gratuity purpose and company cost cutting
and saving purpose, they have choose LIC plan, which cover
employees Insurance and at the end, they will get the Big amount,
you can say this is a Gratuity amount. Company has to pay the
premium and company will get Income tax benefits. Company can show
this amount as a provision for gratuity of the employees. Company
should take the policy according to the Gratuity amount . You can
pay the premium amount Yearly, Half yearly or quarterly. Company
can fix the premium as per the employees salary and designation and
length of employees service render. If the employees Death
/Accident -occur / happened/ take place, His/Her nominee will get
the amount as per policy, Company will not pay anything, but LIC
will pay. In this case, Less Burden to the company. Company paid
only the premium amount. But employees nominee gets the full
benefit.
12. Tax Benefits of Employer Employee Insurance: Premium paid
by company will qualify as eligible business expenses under Sec.37
(1) of the Income Tax Act. Premium paid by the company are treated
as perquisite in the hands of the Employee (under Sec.17 (2) (V) of
the Income Tax Act.) Employee is entitled to claim tax rebate u/s
80C for the premiums paid by the employer. Maturity proceeds are
tax free u/s 10(10D) in the hands of employee.

is eligible for tax benefit under Section 37(1) at corporate tax

3366/- Employee pays tax in premium at personal tax rate (Rs 3000
for 30%slab) Employee can claim tax benefit under Section 80C (Rs
3000 as set off for 30% slab). Net Tax Liability = 0 A win win
situation for both Note: Personal Income Tax Surcharges not taken
into account, but the impact will not change because of that.
