The VORTEX system is a façade cleaning technology that is gentle on both structural surfaces as well as the environment. Our cleaning methods refrain from using harmful chemicals and are still capable of meeting the required standards to clean the surface of your structures while gently providing protection to the outside of your building and/or monument.

For years the VORTEX cleaning system has successfully been cleaning and preserving thousands of historic and important structures all over the world while remaining cost effective and environmentally friendly. This technology can be individually adapted to suit the requirements for different kinds of building material, stone, and even priceless sculptures.

The VORTEX cleaning process is well suited to gently remove dirt and other harmful substances from materials such as sandstone, limestone, marble, granite, terra cotta, tile and brick. Even though the required care and maintenance for each of these materials differs greatly; our technology is able to remove difficult encrustation, mineral, lead, paint, graffiti, etc. without damaging their substrate or texture all the while restoring them back to their original brilliance. The VORTEX cleaning system can even remove soot, chlorides, furans, dioxins and other harmful substances that can accumulate on a structure as a result of fire damage.

The VORTEX system is able to accomplish the removal of these debilitating substances in a cost effective, eco-friendly, gentle manner without the use of strong chemicals. Our powders are silica free and do not contain any carcinogenic, toxic components or damaging soluble salts. When used correctly these powders present no danger to the environment or user. The rotating wet jet nozzle uses low air pressure from 10 to 55 psi; a mixture of water that can be precisely regulated within the range of 1 to 15 gallons per hour; and exactly selected extremely fine, inert, micron-sized abrasive powders to effectively clean your structure’s surfaces. The unique feature of this technique is that the vortex emerging from the nozzle expands rapidly and as a result, the pressure of the compressed air diminishes in proportion to the square of the distance, while the rotation of the vortex continues unabated.
