1 Peter 2: 1-12

Holiness —1:15—“but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”Fear (Reverence) —1:17—“conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth.”

Love —1:22—Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love on another from the heart.

Growth —2:1—“like newborn babies, long for the

pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.

And he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.”7 This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve,

“The stone which the builders rejected, This became the very corner stone,”

8 and, “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”;

for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word,

In conclusion, as we grow in Christ through the building of His spiritual house, we must build His spiritual house:

With Jesus as the foundation and precious cornerstone

With believers as living stones who love, care, support and serve one another

With the Holy Spirit residing in it and where the fruit of the Spirit is evident
