PROFIBUS in general
▪ PROFIBUS is a vendor-independent and openfieldbus based on the international standardIEC61158 and IEC61784. It covers a wide rangeof applications in manufacturing and process auto-mation fields. Vendor-independence and open-ness allow communication between devices of dif-ferent manufactures with no special interface ad-justment. Thus, based on PROFIBUS PA specifi-cations, ROTAMASS Total Insight PROFIBUS PAmodels offer more flexible instrumentation througha higher level communication capability and pro-pose the cost reduction by multi-drop wirings withless cables.
