SIXTY YEARS OF TRAINING

Shortly after WW2, a young lad began training in the little known art called Catch as Catch Can, and who would have thought that sixty years later he would be a sought after Master of Korean Martial Arts .

Today, GM Rudy W. Timmerman is the Grand Master of the art of Kong Shin Bup™,

and the many friends he has made along his journey in Korean martial arts

will gather on the weekend of August 13-15, 2010 in order to celebrate his 60th anniversary and donate one hour of their time.

In fact, they will do more than celebrate his time in the arts, they will share their knowledge with all who come to participate. Be there to

take part in this historic event. Don’t miss it!

Grandmaster Rudy W. Timmerman

I cordially invite you to come and join the many talented and respected leaders of Korean Martial Arts as they share their knowledge.

Meet The Grand Masters

JAMES MC MURRAY

GM McMurray's martial art experience is based on his elite military training with the 5th Special Forces. The skills that they instilled in GM McMurray can be seen today, as he trains hundreds of everyday citizens in the art of self-defense and courage.

Michael DeAlba

GM DeAlba is the founder of Modern Farang Mu Sul, and he has used his more than forty years of experience to develop the art into a comprehensive system that draws not only from Korean

Martial Arts, but also from a number of other styles that GM DeAlba studied in his lifetime. The art focuses on: effective self-defense and the perfection of character.

KENNETH MACKENZIEUnder the direct tutelage of Do Ju Nim Ji, Han Jae, Grand Master MacKenzie is one of the few Westerners to earn the esteemed and prestigious 9th Degree Black Belt in the art of Sin Moo Hapkido, and GM MacKenzie has the honor of heading the development & prosperity of the art of Sin Moo Hapkido in North- America.

SERGE BAUBILGrand Master Serge Baubil, founder of Hoshinkido Hap Ki Do, received his 9th dahn in 2004. In 2003 he, along

with his friend Grand Master Rudy Timmerman, was nominated by Grandmaster In Sun Seo, 10th dan, as the official representative for the Hanminjok Hapkido Association in Canada.

GEOFF BOOTHGrandmaster Geoff Booth began his martial art training in 1977, and he is the Chief Instructor and founder of the International Hapkido Alliance and the Australian Hapkido Group. His passion for Hap Ki Do is shown by his development of a conceptual way of teaching.

This style is called Kwan Nyom Hapkido. Do Ju Nim Ji, Han Jae officially promoted GM Booth to 8th dahn during his last visit to the US.

Congratulations GM Booth!

MARLIN SIMSGrand Master Sims is one of the most accomplished Kuk Sool Masters I have known. He was the Chief Instructor for the West Point Military Academy, and he now heads up the United Martial Science Federation.

He is also the managing Editor of the Art of the Warrior martial arts magazine, and there you can often find his enlightening articles on Martial Science.

Grandmaster Rudy W. Timmerman GM Timmerman began his training at age ten in Holland, where he was born. He is now the inheritor of Kong Shin BupTM , a 9th dahn, and the founder of the National Korean Martial Arts Association, which has a world-wide membership. Top left photo shows GM Timmerman, with Master Rhonda McLeod, as he is inducted in the Pioneers and Legends Hall of Fame by the late GM Brown and his wife. In the second photo from the left GM Timmerman, and some of the black belts under his care, poses with some high ranking Kuk Sool Masters. The center photo shows GM Timmerman accepting a trophy from the late GM Choi Hong Hi. Second photo from right depicts GM Timmerman as he receives his 9th dahn from GM Seo In Sun during the World Hap Ki Do Championships in Korea.
