Guan Yu Industrial Co. was founded in 1971 to make forged blanks for hardware, tools, and mechanical parts, and has
gained ISO-9001:2000 and TS16949 certification. To meet increasing demand for auto and motorcycle parts, the company diversified into use of the closed-die forging process that helps turn out items with above-average precision in tolerance (in both shape and specs) and manufacturing accuracy, eliminating added processing and saving on raw materials and costs.
Using carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloy, Guan Yu produces a wide range of products including auto and motorcycle parts, hardware, mechanical parts and accessories, watercraft, and lawnmower parts. Among the major product categories in its catalogue are precision gears, slide blocks, transmission/drive shafts, crankshafts, balance shafts, and connecting rods.
Guan Yu moved to a brand-new central-Taiwan factory with larger punching and forging lines in 2003, greatly expanding production capacity and upgraded technical capability. The company’s current monthly capacity is some one million forgings, each weighing 30-100kg.
With a steady upgrading of facilities and manufacturing know-how, Guan Yu claims that it offers customers the best services available anywhere. To meet the needs of the market, the company has also been adding or renewing top-
end testing and inspection instruments such as an optical projector, Rockwell hardness tester, metallographical microscope, eddy current tester, magnetic-particle flaw detector, coordinate measuring machine and infrared thermometer.
To assure the best quality, Guan Yu handles all the major production processes in-house at its integrated factory, from mold development, material procurement, and material examination to prototyping, product quality approval by customers, cutting, forging, edge-cutting, heat-treating, CNC lathing and machining, final product inspection, packaging, and delivery.
