Report of the Mariupol Colonist District Office to Guardian Committee about desire of
Knorr and Remmel to resettle to Neu-Jamburg at the households that were left by 8
roman-catholic families transferred to Hutters and moved to Crimea. That 8 families were
invited in 1848 to Neu-Jamburg by the Baron Stempel as model householders to give
good example of arrangement for newcomers from S-Petersburg Guberniya (evangelical-lutheran confessisn). Decision of communities of Gross-Werder, Klein-Werder and
Neu-Jamburg. Family lists on the Knorr and Remmel families. Positive decision of theCommittee.
