He is a writer for Canadian Florist Magazine, is a regular guest on CTV Atlantic’s Morning Live, and also is a weekly guest of C100fm radio. DAY 1 – MON AUG 11, 2014 - ARRIVE AMSTERDAM

On arrival group transfer takes you to your tour hotel, home for three nights. Orientation to see Dam Square and pass the Royal Palace to see diamonds being cut and polished. We also visit the fl oating fl ower market Bloemen Market. Now, embark on an included drive through pleasant Dutch countryside to the traditional fi shing village of Volendam. This is followed by a photo-stop at one of the windmills. Also, visit to a cheese farm and then see where wooden clogs are made. Tonight, join your Tour director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Dinner and drink.

DAY 2 – TUES AUG 12, 2014 - AALSMEER FLOWER AUCTION &FLORAL DEMONSTRATION

Each day, 19 million fl owers and 2 million plants are sold at ‘Bloemenveil-ing Aalsmeer’. This is the world’s largest fl ower auction and you will ex-perience the excitement of a live ‘Dutch auction’ from a specially designed viewing gallery. You will be dazzled by the millions of fl owers being pre-pared for export. (the best time to view the Dutch auction process is from 7.00-9.00am Monday-Friday) followed by a fl oral demonstration. We also visit Ann Frank’s House. Later, we see the Red Light District before our savory meal of typical Dutch specialities with drinks on our canal cruise. We glide gently along illuminated canals, past traditional Dutch-gabled houses built right on the water’s edge and under picturesque bridges.

DAY 5 – FRI AUG 15, 2014 - ROTTERDAM – MAASTRICHT – BRUSSELS

Continue your journey to visit the historic city of Maastricht for an

opportunity to visit a private garden. Say goodbye to the Netherlands as we cross into Belguim’s capital Brussels. Today we’ll see the Grand Place and the cheeky Mannekin Pis statue. Tonight we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 6 – SAT AUG 16, 2014 - BELGIUM ON THE GRAND PLACE

Today we return to the Grand Place Square where you will be truly amazed by the Flower Carpet! This event takes place every 2 years and is prepared by 120 volunteers who use a million begonias to create this beautiful work of art, measuring 77x24 metres in size! Later, visit to one of the world’s largest botanical gardens, The National Botanical Garden of Belgium. We also have the opportunity to visit the Coloma Rose Gardens. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 7 – SUN AUG 17, 2014 - BELGIUM – BRUGES

Drive along the Belgium countryside and stop in medieval Bruges. Stroll by canals and along cobbled streets to the Main Square, overlooked by the town belfry. Tonight we enjoy dinner together a local restaurant.

DAY 8 – MON AUG 18, 2014 - BRUGES – GIVERNY - PARIS

Today we travel to France! On-route a visit to the former home of one of the greatest impressionist painters - Claude Monet. This charming house with its spectacular gardens gave Monet inspiration for his famous lily paintings. We will visit the town of Giverny where we will also get to see the famous Japanese bridge.

DAY 9 – TUES AUG 19, 2014 - PARIS SIGHTSEEING

Paris In the morning, sightseeing with a local expert takes you by Notre Dame Cathedral, the imposing façades of the Louvre and Garnier’s Opera House. See the obelisk in the centre of the Place de la Concorde and drive along the Champs Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe. Now survey the city from the heights of the Eiffel Tower, built for the World’s Exhibition of 1889. The afternoon is at leisure for shopping or your own pursuits. Tonight head for the Latin Quarter, famous for its Sorbonne University and Boulevards St Michel and St Germain where you enjoy a ‘Diner de Célébration’ served with wine in a typical Parisian bistro.
