If you hear this and your answer is “I do”, God then says: my ears will listen for your prayers; and even before you ask me, I will say to you: “Here I am.” Prologue: 15
Benedictine hospitality has been the gift of St. Benedict for many centuries to those who seek peace.
The Benedictine Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery continue that tradition of hos-pitality by welcoming you to our Guest House.
You may want to come for a private or self-directed retreat or want one of the Sisters to provide spiritual direction. You may be interested in a “place away” to meet with groups for a weekend or a single day of prayer and reflection.
The Guest House is also available for relatives and friends of the Sisters.
AccommodationsGroups of 20 or less, such as a parish staff, or administration team, RCIA groups, or Cursillo team can rent the first floor for their meeting. Some bring their own food, or pre-pare it in the kitchen.
LiturgyGuests are welcome to join the Sisters for Liturgy of the Hours and/or Mass when it is available. A schedule is pro-vided in each room.
Let us prefer nothing whatever to the love of Christ
and may he bring us all together to everlasting life.
Rule of Benedict: 74:11
One front room serves as a prayer space and includes a fine selection of spiritual reading.
Sixteen or seventeen persons may stay overnight. There are ten bedrooms avail-able on first, second or third floors. Four of the rooms are private. There is no elevator.
MissionWe Benedictine Sisters
of St. Walburg Monastery, faithful to our monastic profession,
seek God in prayer, work and community.
We celebrate the presence of Jesus Christ
and serve him in all God’s people, the young and the old, the sick and the poor,
the stranger and the guest.
