GUIDE ON INFANT FEEDING

TO THE EDITOR: The Department of National Health and Welfare in collab- oration with the Canadian Pediatric Society is developing a guide on infant feeding for use by health professionals in counselling parents on practical aspects of infant feeding.

In developing this guide we would like to have input from the members of your association. To this end we would like to hear from your readers about 1) the questions parents ask that profes- sionals have the most difficulty in ans- wering satisfactorily, 2) the issues on which parents have the most difficulty in following professional advice, and 3) practical answers that professionals

find useful in assisting parents to follow sound infant feeding practices.

We hope that by sharing your knowl- edge and expertise in this way we can produce a counselling guide that will be most effective in promoting sound infant feeding practices.
