Sheffield City Centre
INTRODUCTION
Sheffield is England’s fourth largest city and easily accessible from M1, A1, M18 or M62. It is also England’s greenest city and home to one of the wealthiest areas in England and Wales outside of London and the South East.
Sheffield is a Purple Flag City - the award for excellence in the night-time economy - and also holds the Green Flag status for quality of green space management. The city centre is home to 16,000 residents and our universities teach around 56,000 students each year.
Our city centre is unique as not only do we have several spaces for you to promote your brand, we also have spaces where members of the public can sit and relax during a long day’s shopping.
The beautiful, award winning Peace Gardens, adjacent to the Town Hall, Winter Garden, Millennium Square and the 4* Mercure Hotel is one such area and is on the main thoroughfare between the Fargate, Barker’s Pool and Pinstone Street areas. Spectacular dancing fountains, water features and
elegant lawns make this an oasis for locals and visitors alike. Adjacent retail and leisure includes Brown’s, Café Rouge and Café Nero.
In amongst the shops and nightlife of Division Street and Devonshire Street is the oasis known as Devonshire Green located in one of the trendiest parts of the city centre favoured by students, and plays host to the Tramlines music festival. Combining a massive, banked lawned area, with a skate park, the Green is a popular place to meet.
On a summer’s day the easy access to the heart of the city centre makes Devonshire Green an ideal place to recharge your batteries before getting back into some hard-core shopping.
Both sites can also be used as promotional spaces for exclusive events only.
As well as being available for large or small-medium businesses, we also encourage interest and have special rates for local independents, community groups and schools.
Why not use Sheffield city centre as a venue to promote brand awareness
for your product or business?
