Guide to RRD’s Inventory of Facilities

Inventory of Facilities Home Screen

The Inventory of Facilities contains environmental program information and describes the data it shows.

Scroll down to review program statistics.

Inventory of Facilities Statistics

The Inventory Statistics show the number of reports that the department is required to review including the number approved and disapproved in total and the two previous quarters.

Scroll down to see the list of facilities and contact information.

Inventory of Facilities List Searching Options

Each facility is listed in the inventory with categories that you can search.

The default categories include:

Click on Display for more categories.

Additional Search Column Categories

Click to show and select additional categories to search.

Additional searchable columns include:

You may select multiple columns including all.

When additional columns are selected, they will be added to the right. You will need to scroll to the bottom the page and scroll to the right to view these columns.

Facility Column Searching

In this example, the search categories selected are Part 213 sites in the City of Grand Rapids.

Searching by one column or multiple columns is possible to find a facility or list of facilities.

To search, click on a category and type or select from a list of the items.

Facility Column Clear Search

Clear all search filters by clicking this button.

Clicking on the Clear Filters button will reset the table and new search criteria may be entered.

Facility Column Exporting to Spreadsheet

Click the export button and a new file will be created at the bottom of your browser’s screen.

The information in the Inventory of Facilities list is exportable to a spreadsheet format for additional review and searching.

The entire list or the results of a search are exportable. Simply click the export button to create a file that may be used in spreadsheet software.

Additional Facility Information is Available

To view more details about a specific facility, click on the three dots on the right side of the table.

Available Facility Information

Contaminant Class information

Details about the facility are available including the classes of contaminants that are present at the facility.

A listing of certain reports is also available for each facility. The current list features:

Baseline Environmental AssessmentsNotices of MigrationNotices of On-Site Work Activity

More reports including Initial and Final Assessment and Closure Reports under Part 213 will be added in the future.

Facility Location Submittals

Clicking the arrows, opens new views to see details about the submittals. The (1) behind the title Location Submittals indicates the number of submittals for this location.

Facilities are also identified as locations in RIDE and the inventory. Click on the arrow in the blue bar to the left of the Location Submittals to view more information.

The inventory shows one Baseline Environmental Assessment (BEA) was submitted for this location on June 14, 2019. Clicking the arrow will provide the BEA ID and additional details.The + on the right is for submitting new reports online through this system.

EGLE RRD is currently ONLY accepting Notices of On-Site Work Activities. In the coming months, EGLE RRD will be adding more reports to the electronic submittals including Part 213 Reports like Initial Assessment Reports, Final Assessment Reports, and Closures.

Submitting a Notice of On-Site Work Activity

RRD will be adding more reports to the Inventory of Facilities for electronic submittal in the upcoming months. Be sure to watch for more announcements from EGLE as these become available.

Facility Part 213 Release Information

The Inventory of Facilities replaces the Storage Tank Information web site providing the same information.

Clicking on the three dots provides additional information about the release and the associated storage tanks.

Facility Part 213 Release DetailsClicking the three dots for the release shows the Risk-Based Corrective Action Classification, closure information and other details.

The information can be downloaded by clicking the export button.

To see the information about the tanks, click on the Associated Tanks arrow shown to the right.

The export feature is available for downloading the release information. This is useful for facilities with multiple releases.

Facility Part 213 Tank Information

The tanks from which the releases occurred are listed as associated tanks. This information is provided by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs’ (LARA) Storage Tank database.

Tank data available from LARA is located here.

Inventory of Facilities RRD Project Managers

The Inventory of Facilities features two tabs with RRD project manager contact information for facilities.

Click for RRD project manager contact information. A downloadable document of project managers by county is available for reference purposes.

More Upgrades to the Inventory of Facilities

RRD will be adding more reports to the Inventory of Facilities for electronic submittal in the upcoming months. Be sure to watch for more announcements from EGLE as these become available.

As part of department information technology upgrade projects, EGLE RRD will continue to add more features to the Inventory of Facilities for third party and public use. Watch for upcoming announcements.

Brownfield information, land and resources use restrictions, additional online reporting features, and more will be added.

Geographic display of the facilities listed in the Inventory of Facilities is available on the Environmental Mapper.
