INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT FINAL PROJECT STRUCTURE Main scope of the final project: The project aims to simulate the management of a multinational company. I. General presentation of the company: - Multinational company can be a real or an invented one. - The information should not adhere strictly to reality. - The company may already exist on a number of foreign markets or it may be a national company looking for its first internationalization through implantation on a foreign market. - This section of the project only contains the general information regarding the company. II. Planning: - Mission (objectives, premises, values, lines of action) - Strategic goal (established at the top management level) - Strategic planning (SWOT analysis and the corresponding strategy, company strategy and product strategy – Porter and Miles & Snow; all the proposed strategies should be justified) - Tactical goal (established at the department level; the number of analyzed departments will be equal with the number of the team members) - Tactical planning (the plan should comprise: actions to be done, period, resources – material, financial and human, responsible) - Operational goal (established at the office level; the number of analyzed operational offices will be equal with the number of the team members; in addition, each operational office should be chosen from a different department) - Operational planning (the plan should comprise: actions to be done, period, resources – material, financial and human, responsible; in addition, the type of operational plan should be also emphasized). III. Organizing: - The organizational structure of the company (scheme) - The identification of the type of organizational structure - The justification for choosing the respective organizational structure - The departmentalization of the personnel. IV. Coordinating (human resources policy): - Three key-employees from the new company are chosen: the general manager, the head of one department and an operational worker - For the general manager: there should be proposed and justified the most efficient methods of recruiting (the source), selecting (selection criteria), training (technical and cultural) and motivating - For the head of one department: there should be proposed and justified the most efficient methods of recruiting (the source), selecting (selection criteria), training (technical and cultural) and motivating - For an operational worker: there should be proposed and justified the most efficient methods of recruiting (the source), selecting (selection criteria), training (technical and cultural) and motivating.
