Summary of Previous meeting • We outlined the exciting opportunity to invest £37.7m in a flag ship
leisure centre for the Borough
• Excellent opportunity to significantly improve the customer offer,
participation in leisure and recreational activity
• Commitment to delivering a 50m pool
• Commitment to enhancing the outdoor space and key facilities:
• Skate Park
• BMX Track
• Playground

Summary of Previous meeting • The council have produced an FAQ document capturing the
questions from the previous meeting
• We will revisit these topics as part of the ongoing consultation
• In summary there was a large focus on:
• Enabling development and affordable housing
• Parking and transport
• Alternative provision during the closure period
• Limited opportunity to talk about the leisure centre design and
facility mix – which is the focus of this meeting

• Sauna & steam room located on pool side, accessible via male
and female wet change.
• Fun leisure pool, with integrated play features and beach style
access into the water.
• Family focused aquatic space to provide recreational
swimming, children's swim parties and beginner children swim
lessons through roped off area.
• 10 lane 50m pool with moveable floor to provide 3 multi
functional aquatic spaces to cater to recreational swimming,
lessons for adult and juniors, aquatic activity and pool training.

Summary
• The project provides a mix of opportunities to enhance the indoor
and outdoor usage of the site
• The council welcomes feedback on the facility mix as well as input
into the design via working groups
• The facilities will provide a fantastic destination facility for the
boroughs residents
• We are using the experience and lessons learnt from other flag
ship facilities and working with partners
