1984Postandcablefencingofright-of-wayiscompleted,definingaroadwayfromthebridge totheGurnet.

Becausethereisnoelectricalconnectionwiththemainland,housesoperateundersolar,wind,orpropanepower.ThenearestretailandserviceareaisinHall'sCorner, Duxbury.EntrancetotheGurnet Point andSaquish isguardedbysecurityservices

Gurnet Saquish CorporationGurnet Saquish Corporation,anon-profit501(c)4Corporationwhorecieves nograntsorfundingfromtheTownofPlymouth.

Membershipisencouragedhowevernotrequired.Membershipaverages175membersperyear.Therearecurrently25directorsontheboard.Conservationeffortsinclude:• Roadmaintenance

• Snowfencingand grassplantingto preservedunes incriticalareas

• Breakwaterfencingat"thecurve"

• Formingandmaintaining a"beachmanagementplan"withthetownofplymouth conservationcommission;

• Gatewatchsecuritytopreventtrespassing onourfragileenvironment

• Fundraising to underwritealloftheseefforts.

Saquish BeachLandTrustConsistsof58memberswhoownprivateresidencydwellings(cottages) locatedonGurnet/Saquish andwhobought intotheSaquish BeachLandTrust.

Thelandowned bythetrustextendsfromthecenterlineoftheBoulevardsouth easttothemeanlowwaterlineonthefrontbeach.Itisunbuildableandcoveredbytheseaathightide.Membersareguaranteedaccessviaaneasementonthedeed.

TheBoardofTrusteesconsistsof7votingmembers,1Treasurer&1Secretary.
