Moving On Moving On Moving On Moving On Despite enjoying our longer than normal layover camping next to the Werratal River near Treffurt we decided not to linger. We could have spent a week here biking and walking (and Heather horse riding). We headed for Dessau where there was supposedly greater opportunities to ride our bikes around gardens designed and developed in the 15 th century. On the way we stopped at Muhlhausen - yet another medieval town. Being a Sunday we had the town almost to ourselves. Many of the buildings were made with heavy wooden structural beams filled in between with mud or stone or bricks. Some of these buildings were quite high. The building below had a wall painted so well we thought it was real when viewed from a distance. Another building had dummies hanging over the balcony. It looked like there was a party or squabble going on from a distance . The building in the foreground has made good use of the top of the thick town wall as a deck. We headed for Dessau where there was supposedly greater opportunities to ride our bikes around gardens designed and developed in the 15th century.

Muhlhausen’s town square was like many town squares we had already visited - buildings on all four sides.

But no town had such a groovy kids slide and unique playground equipment.

Heading to DessauHeading to DessauHeading to DessauHeading to Dessau The drive to Dessau via narrow country roads resplendent with rape crops was very relaxing. We saw many large wind farms along the way.

Parallel bike tracks were alongside most roads.

We ended the day at Dessau where tomorrow we aim to go on a longer bike ride. Cheers from Siggy & Heather.
