Applications are invited for the following posts under the Project “NPTEL” at CET, IIT Guwahati. This NPTEL academic

project (project no xCETSPNMHRD 90022 x HOC004”) is funded by the MHRD, Government of India.

1. Technical Project Manager (01 post):

Scale of pay: Rs. 41,000 /- + HRA and medical allowance as admissible.

Qualification and Experience: MCA or equivalent / M.Tech. / M.E in Electronics and Communication (EC)

Engineering or Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT)/ Mass Communication; with Certificate

in Management and 05 years of work experience. Desirable: Deep knowledge in System Administration in

GNU/Linux, UNIX & Windows platform, NFS, HTTP, FTP, Samba, Apache, SQL, IPtables, SELinux, LVM,

iSCSI, Networking Knowledge, Experience in switching (online), Final Cut Pro / Adobe premier pro, live

camera handling and recording, editing.

2. Technical Assistants (02 posts):

Scale of pay: Rs. 30,000 /- + HRA and medical allowance as admissible.

Qualification and Experience: Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication (EC) Engineering or

Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) / Mass Communication / MCA; with 03 years of work

experience / Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication (EC) Engineering or Computer Science

(CS) or Information Technology (IT); with 06 years of work experience. Desirable: Experienced in Linux &

Windows administration and basic networking, One year experience in switching (online), Final Cut Pro /

Adobe premier pro, live camera handling and recording, editing are desirable.

3. Project Technician (04 posts):

Scale of pay: Rs. 17,000/- + HRA and medical allowance as admissible.

Qualification and Experience: ITI Certificate with three years’ experience Or Diploma in Editing,

Cinematography, Sound/ Mass Communication. Desirable: One year experience in switching (online)/ Video

Editing (Final Cut Pro / Adobe premier pro), live camera handling and recording are desirable.

The appointment for the above posts will initially be for 11 months on contract basis, likely to be extended based on

performance and co-terminus with the project.
