• It would be likely that the horse would stand on or become tangled in the lead rope• The horse could get a fright from standing on the lead, pull back and hurt its poll• The handler could become injured from the horse pulling back• Broken equipment

• Possible head injury from falling off• Injury to horse and/or rider from close horses kicking or biting• Health ailments from dust inhalation (for both horse and rider)

• Injury to the person from a horse kicking or standing on them as the horse passes• The possibility of the rider falling off if the horse shies at the seated person• The possibility of the person being trampled if a horse becomes out of control
