Dear Stasia Tomlinson,

We are pleased to put forth our proposal in hopes that you will accept and BET’s 106 & Park will partner with Hairless 4 Her Awareness, Inc. for

one special day of breast cancer awareness in the month of October.

Hairless 4 Her Awareness is an emerging leader in breast cancer awareness and we admire your interaction with and influence among young

people. We have found that it is now more necessary than ever to educate young men and women about breast cancer. Together we can turn

106 & Park pink and bring awareness to an often overlooked age group.

Please read through and carefully consider our proposal for a unique collaboration between 106 & Park and Hairless 4 Her Awareness. Feel free

to contact us with your questions or to further discuss this opportunity. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Thank you,

Blaire Warren

Hairless 4 Her Awareness is a non-profit organization that conceptualized after founder Turquoise Johnson decided to part ways with her hair to

honor a former teacher and close friend who lost her battle to breast cancer. The organization is dedicated to promoting awareness for breast

cancer through community outreach and engagement. 365 days a year, Hairless 4 Her Awareness is committed to:

Providing close support for women with breast cancer and their families

Promoting public awareness and early detection through educational outreach

Assisting patients without health coverage and adult women under forty gain access to screenings and/or treatment

The organization has built a strong foundation by celebrating the lives of the women affected by the disease. H4HA has been a part of and

hosted many community events to increase awareness and raise funds. In addition to rocking the community with signature events and an

immense amount of support at local hospitals and cancer centers, H4HA has pioneered numerous programs and campaigns to support their

mission.

Their celebrated “Save The Women Not The Boobies®” campaign was created to dispel any notion that a successful breast cancer awareness

campaign must glorify a women’s breast to grab supporter’s attention. This campaign has continuously helped the organization gain the support

of notable and influential individuals such as:

Angela Yee – Personality/ Spokesperson/ Columnist

Shillae Anderson – Actress/ Model

Stasia Tomlinson - TV Producer

Lornalitz – Model/ Actress/ Reality Star

H4HA has fostered an overwhelming amount of support and awareness success within the last couple of years. We are looking forward to

developing a relationship with 106 & Park to help us bring our awareness efforts to an otherwise overlooked audience of young adults.

“I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer at the age of 26. At the time I didn’t know that young

women could get breast cancer.” --- Shay Sharpe (www.shaysharpespinkwishes.org)

YOUNG WOMEN CAN AND DO GET BREAST CANCER

Each year, approximately 70 thousand men and women age 15 to 39 are diagnosed with cancer in

the US. Breast cancer is the most common cancer for women in this age group.

Women ages 15 to 34 and 35 to 54 die more frequently from breast cancer than any other cancer.

Compared to older women, young women generally face more aggressive cancers and lower survival

rates.

Within this past year, H4HA has noticed a plaguing increase of young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer

and the disheartening lack of education and tools that this age group has been equipped with to properly fight the

battle. With the help of 106 & Park, together we can begin to educate with the hope of changing these chilling

statistics.

For the last 13 years, H4HA has recognized 106 & Park as a leader in entertainment. 106 & Park continues to grab the

attention of urban youth and young adults by presenting them with the best in Hip Hop and R&B. In between counting

down the top hits, 106 & Park has highlighted worldly events and community issues such as the 2008 Presidential

Election,World Aids Day and most recently The Trayvon Martin case. Please consider joining us in the fight and turning

106 & Park pink for one day in dedication of breast cancer awareness!
