It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of
recommendation for Alok Shukla.
I met Alok Shukla in June-July 2008, when he visited Guinea and
offered to volunteer at Centre Mdical International, an American
hospital in Conakry, where I was the Chief of Staff. He was
accepted for a one-month guided internship, involving exposure to
some of the hospitals activities and getting in touch with the
local urban and rural healthcare facilities and professionals.
I remember well the very good impression Alok Shukla made on all
the staff members, as he accomplished all the tasks with enthusiasm
and dedication, and showed the right character and intentions,
creativity and intelligence, at all occasions.
Repeatedly, I had the opportunity to discuss with him regarding
the medical career he was pursuing. He emphasized with passion his
strong motivation to become a medical professional and to achieve
excellence in the field of medicine. I found him committed,
perseverant, and compassionate.
I would consider Alok Shukla to have all the skills and
abilities to pursue and successfully complete his medical education
and I honestly think that he has the potential to become an
outstanding care-giver.
For the reasons mentioned above, I strongly recommend him for
the studies that he is pursuing.
