We measured the distance between Turin and Linköping Then we calculated the different emission amounts from the different vehicles The air plane releases most emissions of carbon dioxide, but the truck releases the highest amount per person
If you load a train with goods the emissions of carbon dioxide will be less than if you load it in a truck by a significant amount. The trucks should not be used for long distances
And if we also use two engines in our cars. One electric and one fossil fuel. We use the electric in cities and the fossil fuel one outside of the cities
The air plane itself gives a lot of CO2 emissions, but in our study we counted 150 people in an average air plane. That´s why the emissions are not so high per person
The average of the advertising for one
family is 0.69 kg/week
We count with: 1000 kg advertising= 17 trees
There are about 68 000 households in Linkoping and 460 000 households in Sweden
Linköping:
68 000 * 0.69 = 47 000 kg advertising/week
47 000 * 17/1000 = 800 trees/week
Sweden:
460 000 * 0.69 = 317 000 kg advertising/week
317 000 * 17/1000 = 5400 trees/week
