If you would like to donate spring bulbs (tulips, daffodils, etc), please place them in the pink flower pot in the Sunday School office by the end of October.

Christian Education Service Opportunities BULLETIN BOARD DESIGNERS We are looking for 2-3 people to assist with our bulletin board ministry. Job Description:

Design and install monthly bulletin board decor (following the established themes), remove previous décor.

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month, whenever is convenient for you!

Small commitment, BIG IMPACT!

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL New topics start today in our three adult classes. Want to learn more about the wise words of Solomon, Paul's letters to the Ephesians or how to make an impact in our neighborhood? Now is the time - check out an adult Sunday School class! (see page 9)

NEED AN EASY WAY TO HELP OUR CHURCH? Looking for a new way to get some fresh air in the evening? Trustees have just the task for you! Volunteers needed to check exterior doors; job consists of checking doors one evening/night each week and recording the findings on a one-page check list. The 26 outside doors can be checked in about 12 minutes, and training will be given! You can sign up for a night per week, or job-share with a friend(s) to split the month, or be an on-call substitute. The Trustees benefit from these checks in many ways. About 12 faithful volunteers are thanked for checking the doors for the past 16 months. To prevent overworking them, please consider this opportunity. A Concert Commemorating the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation Sunday, Nov 19, 3pm, Big Baker Chapel, McDaniel College—The Masterworks Chorale of Carroll County will host a special concert commemorating the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. Four choirs will be featured and will be accompanied by organ and guest instrumentalists, plus local church choirs, including WUMC’s Chancel Choir.

Tickets may be purchased via the Masterworks Chorale website for $10.00 (http://www.masterworksofcc.org)

KID ZONE PREP VOLUNTEER OPP We have a wonderful KidZone volunteer coordinator and amazing weekly leaders but we need someone to prep the lessons. This person would: gather needed supplies for weekly KidZone lesson, make copies of activity sheets, and check inventory of snacks. This could be done on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on your schedule. Contact Ashley Johnson, Director of Christian Education, if you're interested or for more info.
