PRESENTATION


• Established in 1967 as a state university in Ankara

• Rector is Prof. Dr. Murat Tuncer

• Has approximately 30000 students

• Has two major campuses, Sıhhiye (hospital and medical department) and Beytepe (various departments)

• Has 13 faculties, 2 schools, 13 instutes and 6 vocational schools

• Established on 1982

• First departments were Painting, Sculpture and divisions of Graphic, Ceramics and Glass

• Interior Architecture and Environmental Design department was established in 1984

• Elective courses on plastic arts, photography and cinema-TV ara also given.

• Established on 1984

• First academic year at 1986-1987 term

• 4 year long undergraduate education

• Graduate and doctorate education

HACETTEPE UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR ARHITECTURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN COURSES

• Two courses, dealing with lighting and lighting design in the curriculum

- Environmental Control Systems in Interior Spaces (İç Mekanda Çevre Kontrol Sistemleri)

- Light, Color and Texture in Interior Spaces (İç Mekanda Renk, Doku ve Işık)


• «Environmental Control Systems in Interior Spaces» is a mandatory course which aims to give theoric information about lighting basics, natural lighting or electrical lighting as well as installments, heating and electricity in an interior space.


• «Light, Color and Texture in Interior Spaces» is an elective course which gives extensive information about;

- Natural and artificial lighting,

- Lighting fixtures,

- Retail lighting,

- Exhibition lighting.

• Field trips and lectures by professionals are held.

• Students are required to build a lamp as a final submission .

... A lighting plan for monuments should emphasize the ideology

its sculptor want to transfer to the observers.
