WORKEXPERIENCE

Sales AssistantMay 2010 – September 2010Hallett Retail in New LookWidnes Shopping ParkCheshire

After finishing university last summer, I spent four and a half months learning about certain aspects of the high street fashion industry working for Hallett Re-tail as a Sales Advisor. My duties were to perform the tasks of the concession’s manager on her days off and holidays such as communicating with brands and clients as well as giving feedback on weekly sales figures and ideas. I was also responsible for receiving deliver-ies, carrying out promotions and sale markdowns.

Main Roles: • Covering concession manager’s duties• Representing our store on conference calls • Delivering excellent customer service

Sales AdvisorFebruary 2010 – May 2010Orange RetailNew Mersey Retail ParkLiverpool

Even though I was only part of the Orange Retail team for just over three months, I learnt a vast array of valu-able skills such as providing excellent customer service, building better rap-port with customers, and quick problem solving. However due to finishing uni-versity for summer at the end of April I took the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a role best suited to myself and my fashion and brand pro-motion studies.

Main Roles:• Delivering excellent customer service• Giving advice to new and existing customers• Providing information on phone plans, products and services

Technical ClerkFebruary 2008 – July 2009Multi-Tech Contracts LtdBowood CourtWarrington

I decided to defer my university degree for a year as I was offered an amazing job opportunity from Multi-Tech Con-tracts Limited. I started as a technical clerk, but received more important re-sponsibilities such as designing the company brochure and being the office photographer after showing good initia-tive and dedication to the role. Working in a full time position before heading to university was a huge benefit as it gave me a lot of life experience as well as work, like becoming more independent.

Main Roles: • Photocoping, scanning and general admin work, covering reception• Creating 3D Virtual Tours• Designing company brochure, advert and assisting on website

Since starting employment at the Adelphi in September I have developed into a much more independent and confident person. Socially it has given the valuable skills to be able to communicate with a range of different customers. Working behind the bar has also taught me how to deal professionally with disorderly or rowdy members of the public. My customer service skills have also increased as one of my main duties is providing all-round customer satisfaction. I have also partici-pated in organising events and charity nights at the pub, and designed all of the promotional material used.

Main Roles: • Serving food and drink to customers• General housekeeping and restocking• Delivering excellent customer service

RE-BRAND

SHOPPERSstopRE

-BRANDcomplete re-design of shoppers stop,

a department store brand based in india. the re-brand had to relate to one of the bric countries, therefore i decided to concentrate on india.

country research shown in first board helped determine the customer profile. inspiration from other department store logos helped for my final compa-ny re-design shown in the last board.
