As you will have heard, there is a new campaign in town – Free Day 50 where Halifax General Insurance is packin’ A Fistful of Offers.

Free Day 50 includes all the great offers of Free Day Every Week, plus a further incentive of £50 for every customer who takes out a new combined buildings and contents policy. Now customers can ride home with £50, a free day of home insurance each week and a special weekly treat. It is a fantastic campaign, so to support you and your colleagues with the proposition, we’ve provided you with a box full of support materials:

Two staff room posters, one to highlight the offer and the other to track your success

A brainstorm game, featuring a special lead generation ‘Wanted’ poster to help colleagues develop their understanding of the campaign

A swag bag, with sweets to be handed out for the best ideas

An online Quick Reference Guide, with key offer details, sales hints and tips and product benefits for reference. The Quick Reference Guide is available on Network Essentials. The ‘Wanted’ game enclosed is a 15 minute brain storming game that can be used during your team huddle. You are the County Sheriff, and the aim of the game is to round up ideas from colleagues on successfully implementing the campaign.

Teams can be divided into individual or small groups as necessary to go into a head-to-head High Noon showdown. Each team will have 15 minutes to answer the following three questions:

How will you generate leads? Encourage participants in branches to picture different scenarios – for example, over the phone, at counter in branch, in the banking hall and during interviews about other products

What are the main selling points of the Halifax Home Insurance product?

What are the main selling points of the Free Day 50 offer? Once the 15 minutes is up, lead an open discussion of the answers between all participants and write what you think are the best ideas onto the ‘Wanted’ poster. For the team with the best ideas for each of the questions… it’s a goldrush, as each of them lands the reward of a ‘swag bag’ of sweets! Please ensure you and your colleagues spread the word around town with customers whenever you can while the campaign runs from 6 June to 2 July and until the offer ends on 22 July 2011.
