approved the Halon Project and

given a no objection certificate

regarding construction. Instead of

above the Panchayat of 15 villages,

which comes under submergence

,had also given no objection

certificate. Under Halon Project

,area under submergence is total

1570.31 Ha. Including private and

Govt. land. Out of that only 330.56

Ha. land comes under submergence

of Birsa village which is only 14.68%

of total submergence .There is total

420.25 Ha. Land is available in Birsa

village and under submergence only

230.56 Ha. Land comes, which is

54.86% of420.25 Ha. Of land. The

displaced persons of Birsa village

will be resettled at Karanjiya village.

Which is only 2 Km. away from Birsa

given.

The applicants are of Alna of

Balaghat District. Where public

hearing is already done on dated

12/02/2009, in this Public hearing

also prior information and

advertisement in newspaper was

given. Many people of concerned

villages of Distt. balaghat had

attended In the above Public hearing

.The Ministry of environment and

forest of Government of India New

Delhi has directed to do separate

Public hearing in Distt. Mandla,

hence in this connection on

31/07/2009 Public hearing in Distt.

Mandla is done by giving information

and advertisement in newspapers to

concerned villages of Diatt. Mandla

,hence saying of applicant’s that not

got any information about Public

hearing is wrong. Keeping in point of

view for natural disaster like

earthquake etc. India’s largest

research centre for disaster

management pune (C.W.P.R.S.

Pune ) has studied and given his

seismic parameter report, In which

they have considered all disaster

related to earthquake etc. for Halon

Dam & provision for the same has

been made. Thus, There is an
