The Parish OfficeThe Parish Office is situated above the village hall in Old School Close. There is a supply of stamps in the office, and a small letter scale. If you have an urgent letter, you are welcome to call in and see me. You may also use the photocopier, 5p for a A4 black and white copy and 10p for colour. A3 is 10p for black and white and 20p for colour. The Parish Office is now manned between 9am and 1pm weekdays.Roads

If you see any potholes, or other repairs which need attention, please report them to Highways on Call on 0845 230 2882, or to the Clerk on 01296 626073. Bucks County Council needs to be informed of works which need doing. Deep potholes are treated as an emergency.

Street LightsIf there is a faulty street lamp, please report it to the clerk, providing an exact location, and the number on the lamp if possible. I am in the process of confirming the telephone number for RAF estate lamps; the previously published number was incorrect.The Village HallThe village hall continues to be a very popular venue for people to hire. If you would like details on hiring the hall please contact the Clerk on 01296 626073. Please note that the village hall car park is for the use of patrons only.

The Jubilee Community RoomThe Jubilee Community Room is available for the use of residents, and I am pleased to report that it is a popular venue with a few small groups. No charge is made for community use; local businesses may hire the room for small meetings, for which there is a small charge. The area is fitted out with shelves for books so if you have some books you could donate or if you wish to borrow a book, please call in. If you need further information on using the community room, please contact the Parish Clerk 626073.

Parish Council MeetingsFull Parish Council meetings are held on a Wednesday evening, approximately once every six weeks. Dates for the next three meetings in 2014 are as follows:

5th November; 17th December; 28th January 2015

All Parish Council meetings are held at the village hall and are open to the public, however, it is always advisable to either telephone the office 626073, or check the notice board on the day of the meeting just in case there are unforeseen circumstances which prevent the meeting taking place. Full Council Meetings always commence at 7.30pm sharp; they are preceded by a short meeting of the Finance Committee at 7pm. Finance committee meetings between full parish council meetings are only held as deemed necessary. All meetings of the Parish Council are open to embers of the public and the press.

Parish CouncilThe following matters were discussed at the September meeting. • Marc Lister, a paramedic and the

Community Liaison & Training Officer for South Central Ambulance NHS Trust, gave a presentation on training for residents to become first responders in the case of an emergency. The use of defibrillators is becoming more popular in villages, and training can also be provided for their use. It is hoped that there will be eventually be three or four first responders in each of Wendover and Halton. This matter will be discussed at the next parish council meting, on 5th November 2014.

• 30MPH signs for sticking on the side of wheelie bins have arrived at the Parish Office. Please contact me if you would like some for your bins.

• The fire door at the village hall has now been replaced.

• The dates for full parish council meetings will be confirmed at the next meeting. A list of dates will be published on the notice boards, and are now on the website.

• Members reviewed the presentation event for the Best Kept Village. Photographs have been published on the Bucks CC website.

• Wing Commander Ray Morley, the new Deputy Station Commander, attended the meeting. Wg Cdr Morley is responsible for the airfield, and will be available to deal with any issues which may arise.

• Cllr Ms Tipson provided a brief demonstration on the new website, which has just gone live. The domain address is www.haltonvillagenews.co.uk. Cllr Ms Tipson was praised for all of the hard work

‘I Wonder How You Are At Waiting’ Congratulations Halton VillageTindall Cup Presentation

There’s a lot of waiting in the bible. Take Noah. Noah waited. Noah built the ark, and waited. Noah waited 7 days before the rain came. Noah waited 40 days whilst it rained. Noah waited 110 days whilst the flood waters covered the earth. Noah waited whilst the flood receded – 110 days before the tops of the mountains appeared. Noah waited 40 days before sending out the raven and the dove. Noah waited 7 days and sent the dove out again (at last returning with a sign of hope). Even then Noah waited another 7 days before sending out the dove a final time. Finally Noah could come out of the ark and start a new life as God commanded. The bible doesn’t tell us what Noah did whilst he was waiting. He was probably busy looking after all those animals. The bible also doesn’t tell us how Noah felt about waiting – did he get frustrated, angry, depressed, bored – or all of these and more? The bible doesn’t tell us what Noah thought about God making him wait.

In general I don’t ‘do’ waiting very well. I don’t always know what to do, I get bored and frustrated, it affects how I

relate to others and to God. I can feel I am going through the motions. Waiting is the time between living, the period between experiences – something to be minimised, avoided or made less painful. Certainly there are times when waiting should be avoided: no one should have to wait for injustice or suffering to end ……. but waiting is also part of God’s plan. As we move into Advent at the end of the November once again we have the opportunity to wait for God. During Advent we sense again the longing for God to act through Jesus coming into the life of the world. And whilst we know this has happened, we are still waiting to see what might happen if we allowed Jesus into our lives that bit more fully; that bit more radically. As we wait during Advent we get to see again the truth about God who comes in love to set us free. That’s something well worth waiting for.

Join us as together we wait on the story of God’s love for all. We’ll be following the story at St Michael’s on Sundays at 6pm and the 14th December at 6pm for our Carol Service.

After winning the Tindall Cup back in August, Halton was presented the trophy on September 13th by the Best Kept Village presentation party. As mentioned before a huge thank you goes out to all who helped Halton win this prestigious trophy. The snippet below is a glowing testament to all who have helped over the past few months and continue to do so.

PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY

These stickers are a great visual reminder to motorists to drive safely, and stick to the speed limit. It is believed that temporary signs of this nature have a greater effect than more permanent signs.

The 2014 Halton Village Festival promised to be a great day and certainly lived up to the hype. With over 3000 visitors and over £11,000 raised for The Florence Nightingale Trust, Air Ambulance and other local charities; the Festival was a huge success.

A massive thank you goes out to the many many volunteers who showed up and helped out. Without all of your help this event couldn’t take place.

Have You Been Affected by Cancer?Macmillan Health and Wellbeing Event at Stoke Mandeville Stadium on 19th November.

Health and Wellbeing clinics are education and information events to enable people living with cancer and their families to take control and participate in their recovery, as part of the recovery package offered by Macmillan Cancer Support.

Health and Wellbeing clinics are designed to help people get the support that they need to improve the quality of their lives, for as long as possible.

Ideally the event would be a ‘one-stop-shop’ where volunteers and professionals play a key role; running the clinics, providing information, financial advice, and expert social and medical care. People making the shift from treatment to life after cancer can talk to a broad range of individuals, including clinicians, complimentary therapists and benefits advisers. Clinics are aimed at helping people find out about: benefits and other financial support, how to get back to work, good diet and lifestyle, possible long-term side affects from treatment, issues surrounding a particular cancer and local services, facilities and other opportunities.

Do you Really Understand Your Energy Bills?Energy bills can be confusing and a source of frustration - but help is at hand.

Chiltern and South Bucks District Councils, working with the Affordable Warmth Network, are offering local drop-in advice sessions to help people understand what can be a minefield of information.The sessions provide face-to-face advice, on a one-to-one basis, to help people understand their bills, reduce energy bills, change their payment method, tariff or supplier.

The venues of the drop-in sessions are: Aylesbury library, Chiltern district council offices, Wycombe district council offices and Iver library. More informaion can be found online at www.southbucks.gov.uk.

The first ‘Rothschilds Connection’ meeting was a tremendous success with 39 villagers turning out to look at photos - old and new - and to share information about various houses and sites in the village.

Ann Jimson outlined her vision for collecting as much information about the history of our village and being able to document this in some way before some of the information is lost.After 20 minutes had passed it was clear that we have enough knowledge and enthusiasm to carry the project forward with people pouring over old maps and laptops.

The village has been split up into several areas with someone who lives in that area being responsible for organising ‘mini’ meetings to gather information. Ann has suggested that we all meet again in February (date to be decided) to pool all the information and decide the next step forward.

The new village website will start putting together an outline of the plan so please visit the section on the website to see how this is going. Initially this will outline the areas and who, in your area, is heading the group. Any interesting items can be emailed to • [email protected], • [email protected][email protected]

Many thanks to everyone who attended the first meeting and thanks to Ann for the fabulous idea of protecting and preserving Halton’s history.

As February ended the weather turned bitter. All the water troughs froze and the first job in the morning was to pour hot water on the feed pipes so the cattle in the yard could drink. The forecast had talked about snow but it never came. Too cold, the old folks said. But one morning we woke to a white wonderland. There was about seven or eight inches of glistening snow. The clouds that brought it had blown away and when the sun got up, it was so bright it hurt your eyes. It was a little warmer as well and the snow started to melt. That evening under the clear skies the temperature dropped like a stone after the sun went down but we were snug enough in the farmhouse kitchen with the fire blazing in the range and the kettles singing away on top. There was no other heating or hot water in the house so going to bed involved a quick dash upstairs flinging your clothes off and leaping beneath the covers while you were still warm. The dog had the best place as he slept in front of the fire.

Dad was wakened around two by the dog barking. Old Rufus only barked if something was wrong so he got up, pulled on his clothes and went downstairs to find Rufus scratching at the back door. Dad opened it for him and the dog took a couple of steps the stopped with one paw raised staring across the field. Dad was puzzled, all seemed well. The cattle in the yard were sitting quietly chewing the cud. If anyone was nosing about they would be disturbed. He crossed the garden and walked about fifty yards out into the field. It was hard work as, at each step, you had to break through an inch of ice on top of the snow. The night was spectacular with the stars bright and a near full moon lighting up the fields almost as bright as day. There was not a breath of wind and the silence in that snow laden world was almost like a heavy weight.

Suddenly his old dog at his heels started to whine and the hackles of his neck rose. He didn’t bark but suddenly gave a yelp and fled back to the house. Dad was at a loss to understand the dog’s behaviour. There was obviously nothing to be seen. Then he heard it, a high pitched whistle over in the far corner of the field. In the silence he could hear it clearly, what was more the sound was coming towards him, not fast but at a steady pace. He half expected to see some strange apparition crossing the ice, but nothing. It came on and passed him a few feet away and carried onto the far hedge and stopped. Then he heard another whistle in a different part of the field, the another. Well, whatever they were they seemed harmless so he went inside to poke up the fire and warm up.

Next morning the raw cold had lessened and he went out into the field to where he had stood the night before. It was easy to see as his were the only footsteps in the snow. Then he saw it. A few feet in front of where he had been standing there was a crack in the ice running diagonally across the field. When he looked he could see others and all became clear.

As the temperature had risen a stress crack in the ice sheet had started from a weak spot by the hedge and ran across the field. Others had started from different places until the field was crisscrossed with them. Dad felt almost cheated by such a mundane explanation. The dog never expressed any opinion. Don Knight

Chestnut and mushroom pate

• Serves 4 (as a starter)• 30 mins to prepare and 35

mins to cook• 192 calories / serving

Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200ºC, fan 180ºC. Cut a cross on the base of each chestnut and spread them out on a baking sheet.Roast for 25-30 minutes until the skins come away easily and the chestnuts are tender. Remove the skins and roughly chop the nuts.Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion for 5 minutes. Add the garlic, mushrooms, thyme and 100g (3½oz) of the chopped chestnuts. Cook on a very low heat for about 20 minutes. Add the sherry and turn up the heat, letting all the liquid bubble off.Put the mixture in a blender, along with the crème fraîche and single cream, and whizz to form a coarse pâté.Serve on toast, garnished with the remaining thyme and chopped chestnuts.

IngredientsChestnut and mushroom pate• 125g (4oz) chestnuts• 2 tbsp olive oil• 1 small onion, diced• 1 garlic clove, chopped• 250g (8oz) closed cup mushrooms,

roughly chopped• 2 tbsp thyme, plus extra to garnish• 3tbsp sweet sherry• 3tbsp crème fraîche• 2 tbsp single cream

Prawn cocktail with smoky crème fraîche sauce• Serves 8• 10 mins• 125 calories / serving

Separate the baby gem leaves and stack 2-3 on each plate. Divide the prawns between plates and place them next to the lettuce.Top the baby gem with chopped celery and the white part of the spring onions.In a small bowl, mix the crème fraîche with 1 teaspoon each of lemon zest and juice, the garlic and paprika. Season and mix again.Just before serving, drizzle the sauce over the prawns or serve it in a small dipping bowl on each plate. Sprinkle a little more paprika and the chopped green part of the onion over the prawns. Serve with the lemon wedges.

Placeapieceofclingfilmonaworksurface and layer the smoked salmon pieces on top to form a 30 x 27cm (12

x 11in) rectangle. Make sure there are no gaps showing in the salmon layers.In a bowl, stir the cream cheese until softened. Add the prawns, half the dill, lemon zest, half the lemon juice and a good grind of black pepper. Stir everything together well and taste, adding more dill, lemon or pepper as you like.

Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the smoked salmon, leaving 2·5cm (1in) uncoveredalongonelongeredge.Rollup,usingtheclingfilmtohelpyou,startingfrom the covered longer edge. Smooth the uncovered salmon edge over the roll toseal.Thenwrapittightlyintheclingfilm,twistingtheendsclosed,andchillovernight in the fridge.Slicetherollinto12pieces2·5cm(1in)wide–leavetheclingfilmonwhendoingthis, as it will help to hold the pieces together.

Puttwopiecesoneachplate,carefullyremovetheclingfilmandgarnishwiththeremaining dill. Serve with some rocket, the remaining lemon juice and a lemon wedge.

Chilli-maple glazed ham

Ingredients Chilli-maple glazed ham• Unsmoked, boned and rolled

gammo, approx 5kg (11lb)• 2 onions, quartered• 2 celery sticks, halved• ½tsp peppercorns• Few bay leaves• Few sprigs of thyme

For the glaze• 2 red chillies, roughly chopped

(seeds and all)• 100ml(3½floz)maplesyrup• 100g(3½floz)lightmuscovado

sugar

• Serves 8• 20 mins to prepare and 6hrs to

cook• 174 calories / servingPreheat the oven to gas 3, 160°C, fan

140°C. Place the gammon in a large roasting tin, skin-side up. Nestle the onion, celery, peppercorns and herbs all aroundit,thenpour500ml(17floz)waterintothetin.Coverthehamwithasheetofnonstick baking paper, then cover the whole tin with a tent of foil.Bake the ham for 5 hours, or until a meat thermometer reads 71°C when inserted into the middle of the joint. Meanwhile, use a pestle and mortar to crush the chillies to a rough paste. Place the chilli paste, maple syrup and sugar in a medium pan.Removethegammonfromtheoven,uncoverandletitcoolalittle.Drainoffmostof the liquid (keep this as stock for soup - it can be frozen if you like), reserving a littleinthetin.Snipoffanystringthencutawaytheskin,leavingasmuchofthefaton as possible. Score lines (about 4cm/1½in apart) into the fat with a sharp knife to make large diamond shapes, being careful not to cut right through into the meat itself.Turn the oven up to gas 6, 200°C, 180°C fan. Gently heat the glaze ingredients until the sugar has melted, then boil for 1 minute. Use a pastry brush to paint two thirds of the glaze over the fat, working the chopped chilli well into the cuts. Roast the ham, uncovered, for 45-50 minutes, brushing with the remaining glaze during cooking, until it’s golden and caramelised (if the glaze thickens up, just warm it briefly).Servehotorcold.

Tip Depending on how your gammon has been cured, it may need soaking overnight in cold water to remove any excess saltiness; ask at the meat counter for instructions.

Ingredients Citrus rosemary roasted turkey

• 100g (3½oz) butter, softened• 1 lemon, zested and halved• 1 orange, zested and halved

• 2 rosemary sprigs, leaves removedandfinelychopped

• 4kg (8lb) turkey (giblets removed)

• Serves 6 plus leftovers• 30 mins to prepare, 3hr to cook

and 30 mins to rest• 426 calories / serving

Mix together the butter, lemon and orange zest and rosemary, and season. Under cold running water, rinse the turkey inside and out, then pat dry with kitchen paper.

Startingattheneck,useyourfingerstogentlyeasetheskinawayfromthebreastto make a pocket between the meat and the skin. Pack the butter mix into the pocket, until the meat is covered. Putthestuffing(refertoHerbsausagestuffingballswithlemonandorange)intothe neck end, securing it with skewers pushed through the skin, then put the citrus halves into the cavity. Tie the legs together with kitchen string. Weigh the turkey and calculate the cooking time based on 40 minutes per kilo plus an extra 20 minutes. Take the turkey out of the fridge 1 hour before it goes in the oven and place in a large roasting tray. Preheat the oven to gas 5, 190°C, fan 170°C. Cover the bird with a sheet of tin foil and roast for approximately 3 hours.Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to brown all over. To check if the turkey is cooked through, pierce the thigh with a skewer – the juices should run clear. If they don’t, return the turkey to the oven to cook for another 10 minutes and then check again. When cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and loosely cover with tin foil and a couple of tea towels to keep warm. Set the turkey aside to rest for 30 minutes before you carve.

Cooking tipYou can prepare the turkey to the end of stage 3 up to 1 day in advance and store in the fridge.

SidesRoast potatoes with Parmesan

• Serves 6-8• 5 mins to prepare and 55

mins to cook• 285 calories / serving

Place the sprouts in a large saucepan of boiling water over a high heat and boil for 3-4 minutes until nearly tender. Drain and plunge into cold water to refresh, then drain again.Meanwhile, melt 45g (1½oz) of the butter in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Add the pancetta and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the lemon zest, breadcrumbs and parsley and cook for 2 minutes until the breadcrumbs are toasted and golden. Season well. Remove from the pan and set aside.To serve, melt the remaining butter in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and return the sprouts in the pan to heat through. Transfer to a bowl and scatter with the pancetta breadcrumb mixture.

Preheat the oven to gas 4, 180°C, fan 160°C.Parboil the potato chunks in salted water until just tender, then drain well. Return the potatoes to the saucepan and put over the heat for a minute or two to dry them out slightly.Pour the olive oil into a large roasting tin, then heat in the the oven for 5-10 minutes until really hot. Carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil. Add the parmesan and some sea salt, then toss until coated. Roast in the ovenfor 30 minutes, until golden and really crispy.Tip For perfectly crisp roast potatoes, after mixing with the oil and grated parmesan, crush the spuds a little against the sides of the roasting tin using a forkorspoon.Thiswillcreateafewflatterareason the surface and will help them crisp up.

Brussels sprouts with lemon crumbs

• 600g (1lb 5oz) Brussel sprouts, trimmed

• 65g (2oz) butter• 75g (3oz) pancetta cudes• 1 lemon zested• 65g (2oz) white breadcrumbs• Small handful fresh parsley leaves,

finellychopped

• 10 Shallots• 1 butternut squash• 2 peppers• 1 medium aubergine• 3tbsp olive oil• 1tsp ground coriander• 1tsp paprika• 1tsp cinnamon• 2 cloves garlic, crushed

• 5cm (2in) piece of ginger• 400g (13oz) can chickpeas,

drained• Handful coriander, chopped• 125g (4oz) peeled almonds,

toasted• 125g (4oz) shelled pistachios• 75g (3oz) butter, melted• 1x200g(7oz)packetfilopastry

• Serves 8• 20 mins to prepare and 1hr to

cook• 515 calories / serving

HeattheoventoGas4,180°C,350°F.Buttera28cm(11in)loose-bottomedflantin.Cut the shallots into wedges, deseed and dice the pumpkin, cut the peppers into strips and dice the aubergine. Mix together with the olive oil, spices and garlic, toss well, place in the oven in a roasting tin and cook for 20 minutes.Peelandfinelydicethegingerandmixinabowlwiththechickpeas,choppedcoriander, toasted almonds, and pistachios. Stir this mix into the roasted vegetables when they are cooked.Laytwosheetsoffilopastryintheflantin.Useapastrybrushtobrushwithmeltedbutter. Add two more sheets and butter. Repeat until all are used.Add roasted vegetables, then fold over the excess pastry in generous folds and crinkle. Brush with the remaining butter and place in the oven to bake for 40 minutes. Remove from oven, carefully remove from the tin and serve.

Iced Christmas cake with candied orange

Ingredients Iced Christmas cake with candid orange• 2 lemons, zested and juiced• 4 oranges, zested and juiced• 125ml(4floz)sweetsherryor

brandy• 875g (1¾lb) dried fruit mix• 250g (8oz) unsalted butter• 200g (7oz) dark soft brown sugar• 2 tsp vanilla extract

• 4 eggs• 2 tsp mixed spice• 200g(7oz)plainflour• 100g (3½ oz) chopped walnuts• 100g (3½ oz) caster sugar• 500g 1lb) royal icing• 10ml (2tsp) glycerine (optional)

• Serves 14• 45 mins to prepare and 2.25hrs

to cook, plus 30 mins for cooling

• 639 calories / serving

Heat the citrus zest, juice and sherry or brandy in a pan and bring to a boil. Add the dried fruit and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and leave for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to gas 2, 160ºC, fan 140ºC. Butter and line a deep, 20cm (8in) wide cake tin with nonstick baking paper. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar untilfluffy.Addthevanilla,thentheeggs,onebyone.Pourinthemixedspice,flour,fruit and the nuts. Mix, then pour into the tin. Bake for 1½ hours. Remove from the oven and cover with foil. Reduce the heat to gas 1, 140ºC, fan 120ºC. Bake for another 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool in the tin. Poke holes in the cake with a skewer and pour over the extra sherry. Lift out, remove paper and cover in fresh baking paper and foil. Store in a dark, dry place.To make the candied orange peel, remove the peel from the orange wedges, scrapingoffthewhitepith.Slicethepeelinto1cm(½in)longstrips.Putinboilingwaterfor5minutes.Drain.Boilthecastersugarwith75ml(3floz)water.Addtheorange strips and simmer until syrupy and sticky. Remove and place on nonstick baking paper. When cool, dip each strip into the sugar. Set aside to dry.

With an electric mixer, mix 2 tsp of glycerine and royal icing following pack instructionsuntilthickandfluffy.

Thickly spread the icing onto the cake using a palette knife. Swirl with the knife or use the back of a spoon to create little spikes. Arrange the orange zest on top in a small stack or scattered over.

DessertsWhite chocolate & passion fruit roulade

Ingredients White chocolate & passion fruit roulade• 150g (5oz) white chocolate• 150ml (½ pt) crème fraîche• 3 passion fruits, halved• 5 eggs, separated

• 100g (3½ oz) caster sugar• 100g (3½ oz) ground almonds• Icing sugar, to dust• White chocolate swirls to serve

First,maketheganachefilling.Gentlymelt the chocolate in a microwave or in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir the melted chocolate into the crème fraîche, adding

thepulpfrom1½passionfruit.Coverandchillforatleast3hours,orovernight,tofirmup.Preheat the oven to gas 4, 180°C, fan 160°C and line a 20x30cm (8x12in) Swiss roll tin with nonstick baking paper.Whisk the egg yolks and 75g (3oz) caster sugar together until pale and mousse-like. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until they form soft peaks. Add the remaining castersugarandwhiskuntilthickandglossy.Thewhitesshouldstandinstiffpeaks.Fold the ground almonds and a pinch of salt into the egg yolk mix and fold in the whites. Pour into the tin and smooth out. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden.Sprinkle another sheet of nonstick baking paper with a little caster sugar and turn the cooked sponge out onto it, peeling its paper away. Trim the sponge to leave a clean edge all the way around. Roll up from one long side, including the paper in the roll. Leave to cool.Carefully unroll the sponge. Spread with the ganache, leaving a gap around the outside. Spoon the remaining passionfruit pulp over and re-roll the roulade. Transfer to a plate. Useafinesievetodustovertheicingsugar,thendecoratewithwhitechocolatecurls.

TipTo make chocolate curls, chill a large baking sheet in the freezer. Melt 200g (7oz) white chocolate (as described in step 1, left)and pour onto the sheet in a 1cm (½in) layer. When it sets, use a large knife, held at an angle away from your body, to scrape away from you, pushing the chocolate into curls. They can be kept in the fridge for a few days, or in the freezer for a few months.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream - Very entertaining even if you are not a Shakespeare person.The Importance of Being Earnest- A star studied cast - exceptional performance - I would see this again if it returns to Aylesbury.The Perfect Murder - Another star studied cast. This one will make you smile and will make you jump as well! Well worth seeing.

I am due to see the Nutcracker in November. I have seen this several times by various ballet companies, and I have never been disappointed. Magical!!

Let the Chilterns SingWinter Wonderland Christmas Concert

Welcome from Rotary

Winter Wonderland is the third in a series of concerts called ‘Let the Chilterns Sing’.

Following the success of the previous two concerts, this time we are showcasing local talent.

Joining the Aylesbury Concert Band we welcome the Military Wives Choir Halton, Gateway School Choir Great Missenden, local singer Helen Twomey and other young musicians.
