Hamburg Rules Charterparty ClauseHAMBURG RULES CHARTERPARTY CLAUSE *)

 

Neither the Charterers nor their Agents shall permit the issue of any bill of lading, waybill or

other document evidencing a contract of carriage (whether or not signed on behalf of the Owner

or on the Charterers' behalf or on behalf of any Sub-Charterers) incorporating, where not

compulsorily applicable, the Hamburg Rules or any other legislation giving effect to the

Hamburg Rules or any other legislation imposing liabilities in excess of Hague or Hague/Visby

Rules. Charterers shall indemnify the Owners against any liability, loss or damage which may

result from any breach of the foregoing provisions of this clause.

suitable for incorporation in the relevant charter party.
