A perfectly uddered cow, she was snapped up by local farmer Graham Stephenson, Kirkby Lonsdale at £2600. John Wright

It is with great sadness that we wish to inform the farm-

ing community that John Wright of Bellhurst in Roeburn-

dale lost his battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis and passed

away on Friday 20th November.

John was a farmer through and through and worked tire-

lessly to produce the best lambs he could. He loved

working with his father and brothers and later with his

sons Graham and Mathew. He was happy to share his

knowledge with whoever wished to learn. He enjoyed visiting Bentham

Auction and chatting with other farmers often arriving home very late! He

appreciated the live streaming by which he could watch his son, Graham

selling lambs as he and his father had done before him.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends especially Karen his wife

of 41 years and his two sons their partners and his four granddaughters.

He was a quiet man, an honest man, a lovely man, a gentle man, a family

man.

His funeral will be held at the Holy Trinity Church Wray at 12 noon on Friday

4th December. Due to Covid restrictions there are a limited number of spac-

es in church. Please spare a thought for John during the time of his funeral.

Donations if desired are for the British Lung Foundation which may be sent

to: B & W Funerals, 6 Chapel Lane, Ingleton, Via Carnforth. LA2 3FX.
