Our character education word for this week is
respect. Respect is “treating others with honor
and dignity.” Everyone has worth and dignity as
a human being, whether they are young or old,
rich or poor, male or female, or any other
difference. This is why you should treat others
with honor, dignity, and courtesy instead of
bullying, harassing, or manipulating in order to
get what you want.
The South Carolina Department of Health and
Environmental Control (DHEC) wants to ensure all
children and teens have receive recommended
vaccines to prevent disease. DHEC reminds parents
and guardians that South Carolina law requires all
students entering 7th grade receive one (1) dose of
Tdap vaccine. The Tdap vaccine protects preteens
and teens from three serious diseases: tetanus,
diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough).
