Pump Controller Wilden Pump & Engineering Co. Grand Terrace, Calif.

The benefits of Wilden solenoid- operated, double-diaphragm pumps can be expanded with the features of the Solenoid Pump Controller I (SPC I). The microprocessor-based con- troller provides the interface to easily communicate with Wilden solenoid- operated pump models to fully auto- mate liquid processes. The self-con- tained unit powers and controls the electrical signals to the pump, which maximizes pump reliability and re- peatability. The SPC I can interface with a variety of external inputs such as liquid level, proximity, and tem- perature sensors or switches to cus- tomize the application.

Aqueous Cleaner W.R. Grace & Co. Chicago

W.R. Grace’s user-friendly Daraclean product is safe and effective on virtually all metal alloys and splits oils from so- lution more readily than higher alkaline counterparts. Low foaming, Daraclean 236 is equally suited for spray, immer- sion, and ultrasonic cleaning applica- tions. The enhanced oil and soil rejection of Daraclean 236 enables extended bath

life and reduces effluent generation. For- mulated without glycols, fragrances, phosphates, or silicates, Daraclean 236 is free rinsing to leave parts rust protected but with minimal residue to interfere with postclean processing.

Packaged Chillers Applied Thermal Technologies Inc. San Marcos, Calif.

The Hydro-Miser Div. of Applied Thermal Technologies Inc. has intro- duced a new economy-priced line of four packaged liquid chillers. The new models, designated the HMTD Series, cover a capacity range of 2 to 22 tons of refrigeration. Each of these new models is available with air- or water- cooled hermetic-type compressors. They may be installed outdoors or in- doors. Regular tap or distilled water, as well as mixtures of ethylene or propy- lene glycol, may be used in the HMTD chillers as the coolant medium. They may be operated at coolant supply tem- peratures as low as +20”F (0°F on special order) and as high as +65”F (+ 100°F with optional mixing valve).

Flow Meters AsahilAmerica Malden, Mass.

Asahi/America announces the addi- tion of Universal Vortex Flow Meters to its line of pipe and valve products. Thermoplastic meters provide repeat-

able + 1% accuracy without fluid con- tamination because they have no mov- ing parts. Pipeline flow rates are measured electronically using vortex shedding technology. Unlike stainless steel or paddle wheel designs, vortex units are perfect for aggressive or eas- ily contaminated chemicals.
