THENAX OPPONENT

This thumb brace is a combination between an elastic brace and a custom made thermoplastic orthosis. Thenax Opponent features a NeoTex brace with loop surface and a palmar pocket with a thermoplastic piece. The thermoplastic piece can be molded individually by using hot water, 75-80 degrees C. Simply insert the thermoplastic piece in the pocket and pour hot water in it. After approx. 1 min it's ready for application. Pour out the water and place the brace flat on a towel to absorb all the moisture Then apply on patient. The brace is moldable up to 3-4 mins before it sets. Thenax Opponent offers

an excellent support to the thenar eminence and the CMC joint. To further assist abduction of the thumb and allowing customized support an elastic hook strap has been applied on the extension of the thumbgrip. This hook attaches to the loop surface of the brace and can be applied in many different ways to assist the thumb. If not needed it can be cut away. Thenax Opponent offers excellent functionality for patients with CMC-arthritis, ligament injuries or and general instabilities to the thumb.

Manex-Thenax Primary SoftMade of latex free TriTex. A short wrist support with a thumb piece for ef-fective pain relief. The extra strap around the wrist provides a good support to the CMC joint without disturbing the opening grip of the hand. The design has been made circular with three hook and loop closures and a Lycra tongue on the dorsal side. Easy to apply. The material makes the orthosis suitable for pressure sensitive patients. INDICATIONS Pain, weakness, osteoarthrosis, osteoarthitis, rheumatic problems and tendinitis.

Thenax Duo softMade of latex free TriTex. A thumb support designed to stabilize the MCP- and CMC-joints of the thumb. Has an adjustable strap on the dorsal side to be able to change the position of the thumb and to stabilize palmar and radial abduc-tion. The strap provides an effective unloading of the thumb. Hook and loop closure with Lycra for easy application. INDICATIONS Pain and weakness of the thumb, adduction contractures.

Thenax Duo StableMade of latex free TriTex. Developed to stablize both the CMC- and MCP-joints as well as the thenar eminence. The dorsal strap along with a thin integra-ted piece of plastic provides an effective support for the thenar eminence in pal-mar abduction. Hook and loop closure with a Lycra tongue for easy application. INDICATIONS Pain, weakness, osteoarthrosis, osteoarthitis, rheumatic problems and tendinitis.

It has been developed to improve the child’s motor and sensory development by creating the basic conditions for a functional grip.
