Engineering is the application of scientific, economic , social, and practical knowledge in order to design, build, and maintain structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes. The discipline of engineering is extremely broad, and surrounded a range of more specialized fields of engineering, each with a more specific emphasis on particular areas of technology and types of application.

So one can defined engineering as it is the creative application of scientific principles to design or developstructures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full knowledge of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operationor safety to life and property.

One who practices engineering is called an engineer.

Why choose Engineering ?

Engineers have diverse career

Engineers are in demand

Engineers get to do innovation

Engineering literally means to make things happen. It is all about the design and production of useful products and services. As a Engineer a person know-how converts scientific knowledge into technologyand then technology into successful innovation. Many seemingly simple aspects of our daily lives have been conceptualised, designed and developed by an engineer.

Here are few reasons a person choose engineering as a profession:

It is an exciting career. T he diversity of engineering means that whatever your interest, there is probably a place for you working in engineering. From information technology to medical science and mining, from building roads to space travel, engineers are working to make things happen

There is growing skill shortage of trained engineering workers across all engineering sectors. are the number one barrier to business growth and delivery.

Being an engineer means you get to be the first to develop or try out new technologies like artificial hearts, developing and delivering better constructed environmentally sustainable buildings like the first underseahouse! Engineers design and build virtual reality worlds, soccer fields or new planets. Engineers discoverand patent new materials that can cure cancer or cure the common cold. Engineers are involved in makingthe future a reality.

Country required more engineering personnel to build roads, support hospitals, staff climate change projects and the list goes on.

Engineers work everywhere

Engineers work on interesting projects

Engineers can earn good money

Engineers have a great lifestyle

Main Branches Of Engineering

Engineers have to work everwhere: cities, regional and rural area even remote areas. Some engineers work business offices, classrooms, others in factories or research labs; some work outdoors or even in outer space

Engineers usually work in project teams made up of people with expertise in different areas such as accounting, law, project management, surveying, drafting to name a few.

The growing skill shortages across many fields of engineering are generating higher graduate salaries and other benefits for engineering graduates.

Because engineers have good incomes and have a good work/life balance, engineers get to enjoy their many different hobbies and interests. An engineering career is very well paid which means engineers have the financial security that allows you to really enjoy life.

Engineering is a broad discipline which is broken down into sub-discipline. These discipline relates themselves with different area of engineering work.

Although initially engineers are trained in specific area but now a days throughout an engineer's career the engineer may become multi-disciplined, having worked in several of the outlined areas. Engineering is mainly characterised into four branches.

Chemical Engineering-In this branch of engineering a person uses application of physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering principles in order to carry out chemical processes on a commercial scale.

Civil engineering-The design and construction of public and private works, such as infrastructure (airports, roads, railways, water supply and treatment etc.), bridges, dams, and buildings

Electrical engineering-The design and study of various electrical and electronic systems, such as electrical circuits, generators, motors, electromagnetic/electromechanical devices, electronic devices, electronic circuits, optical fibers, optoelectronic devices, computer systems, ,telecommunications, instrumentation, controls, and electronics

Mechanical engineering- The design of physical or mechanical systems, such as power and energy systems, aerospace/aircraft products, weaponsystems, transportation products engines, compressors, powertrains, kinematic chains, vacuum technology, and vibration isolation equipment.

Role of an Engineer

Engineers use their knowledge of science, mathematics, logic, economics, and appropriate experience or tacit knowledge to find suitable solutions to a problem. Creating an appropriate model of a problem allows them to analyze it (sometimes definitively), and to test potential solutions.

Usually multiple reasonable solutions exist, so engineers must evaluate the different design choices on their merits and choose the solution that best meets their requirements.

Engineers typically attempt to predict how well their designs will perform to their specifications prior to full-scale production. They use, among other things: prototypes, scale models, simulations, destructive tests, non destructive tests, and stress tests. Testing ensures that products will perform as expected.

Engineers take on the responsibility of producing designs that will perform as well as expected and will not cause unintended harm to the public at large. Engineers typically include a factor of safety in their designs to reduce the risk of unexpected failure. However, the greater the safety factor, the less efficient the design may be.

Apart from these four core branches, sources vary on other main branches, naval engineering and miningengineering were major branches. Modern fields sometimes included as majorbranches includes, aerospace, computer, electronic, petroleum, systems, audio, software, architectural, biosystems, biomedical, geological, industrial, materials and nuclear engineering.

Traditional (Offiline) Coaching Kshitij Satellite Coaching

I am a Girl, travel to a big city is always risky and time consuming.

I am close of my residence. It is my city. I am comfortable here. I also know all the students and make friends with them. Our networking will help me in the long run when I become an Engineer/Doctor.

I have to come down from my hometown to Delhi to get the coaching from best faculty.

I attend the lectures from same/Better faculty at a center near to my house in my hometown.

My coaching fees are costly in Metro. My coaching fees are much lesser compared to Metro.

It is difficult and uncertain to get admission in the class as the seats are limited.

Centers are equipped with multiple classrooms, with Flexibility of expansion. I am assured of a seat.

I often have to shuttle between Coaching centers, frequently located at far-off locations as different subjects are not available in the same institute. Coaching schedules also clash, and it is difficult to keep pace.

I am happy that leading faculty for all the subjects are available under one roof, I just need to do one registration .Schedules are predefined, with no clashing. I can get retransmission of classes at my ease.

I often get late to the class and have to settle for a seat in the last row. Due to this I am not able to understand the class properly.

Due to small size of class, my seat is reserved even if I am late.

If I am absent in any of the classes, it becomes difficult to understand the next class as it breaks the continuity.

If I miss the class for any reason, I just login and get access to the same class from archives. This helps me understand the topic better as it maintains the continuity. I can also revise the classes closer to my exams. I am able to catch up on my classes from Home also. It is easy and convenient.

Due to large number of students, I am not able to interact or ask any query to the faculty.

I have to just pick up the cordless Mic or use chat system to ask query during the class.

Being a big class, I often get disturbed due to noise in the class. Also the view and audio quality is not very clear.

As the classroom is small with good audio quality, I can comfortably listen to the faculty teaching.

Text books are either not available or at an extra cost. The quality is also poor.

Course material books are included in the fee, which is quite affordable.

I spend approx 10000/- per month at the Hostel in Delhi. The food quality is poor and rooms are cramped. The environment is also not good

I have the flexibility of home food, home environment. I am able to study and prepare better, which increases my chances of succeeding at exams. I am happy to be at Home, safe and secure.I save over Rs. 1,00,000 per year with Kshitij Education India. Money saved is money earned. I feel my parent's hard-earned money is well-spent with Kshitij Satellite Classes.
