Hansen Glass Processing is one of the UKs largest
leading independent glass processors with a core
business of processing a range of specialised
toughened glass products.
Our extensive product range includes structural bolted
glass, high performance insulated glass units and thick
toughened glass products for the building industry in
both the UK and Europe.
We are part of HansenGroup, which was established
over 100 years ago and has grown to becomeNorthern Europes leading independent fenestration
specialist.
Hansen ThermoSpan: Freedom of design within safe
limits is the domain of Hansen ThermoSpan frameless
glass structures giving a completely flush exterior,
unlike any other form of glazing.
Hansen ThermoSpan structural systems offer
architects and specifiers opportunities for creating
original designs in glass, in any plane from vertical
through to horizontal in single glazed, double glazed
and laminated versions. Unique mechanical fixingscreate clean and uninterrupted glass structures
without any external framing.
Double Skin allows the complete structure to be
designed with insulating glass units.
Hansen ThermoSpan Laminated adds a further
dimension in terms of safety, particularly where the
glass is used in roof structures, canopies and atria.
Interstitial blinds can be introduced into Hansen
ThermoSpan Laminated Double Skin, giving privacy
and environmental management possibilities never
before imagined.
Structures are constructed from heat soakedtoughened glass. Hansen ThermoSpan is also used
in conjunction with Hansen Tempo frameless glass
doors to provide a complete glass faade.
Hansen ThermoCool: these insulating glass units are
high performance hermetically silicone sealed multiple
glazing units, and can fulfil many requirements placed
upon modern glazing. Hansen ThermoCool is
available in a variety of colours and widths and also has
the option of inert gas filling.
Hansen ThermoCool conforms the relevant national
and European standards and is also covered by a
comprehensive warranty.
The product is available in a wide choice of glassthicknesses and glass types. The insulating glass unit
incorporates an aluminium, steel, or warm edge spacer
in a choice of widths to separate the two panes. The
spacers are available in two standard colours, silver
or black, and contain a desiccant to keep the air or
gas in the unit dry and free from organic vapours.
The perimeter of the unit is hermetically sealed with
a dual-seal system incorporating a polyisobutylene
primary seal and a silicone secondary seal. The seal
system can withstand a wide temperature range and
is resistant to UV light. The units can therefore be used
with confidence for spandrel panels, structural sealant
glazing and roof glazing in addition to conventional
glazing.
Hansen Fort and Hansen FortPlus: glass products
for specific use in high risk areas or high performance
applications such as curtain walling and windows,
roofs, atria and canopies, structural bolted glazing,
commercial entrances, glass fins, glass beams, doors
and side panels, partitions, balustrades, smoke screens,
floor panels, stair treads and landings, shop fronts,
louvres, glass cubicles, glass vanity tops, and squash
courts.Hansen Fort is a high quality toughened glass
available in thicknesses from 4 to 8mm. Hansen
FortPlus is a high quality toughened glass available
in thicknesses from 10 to 25mm. These two products
are available in a wide variety of glass types including:
clear float glass, tinted float glass, soft coated glass,
hard coated low emissivity glass, hard coated solar-
control glass, patterned glass, and low reflection glass.
Hansen Fort and Hansen FortPlus have increased
strength, making them suitable for use in many
structural applications including balustrade panels and
structural glazing.
Available as heat soak toughened glass for use
in structural bolted glazing and where otherwise
specified. Heat soak glass is also used to minimise the
risk of spontaneous breakage due to nickel sulphide
inclusions that are naturally found in glass. They are
also suitable for use in roof glazing and balustradepanels.
Hansen FortPlus is used in frameless glass door
assemblies. Hansen Tempo standard door blanks and
fully-fitted door assemblies are available.
Both Hansen Fort and Hansen FortPlus can
be supplied as laminated toughened glass using
cast-in-place (CIP) laminating system with a
chemically-cured polyester resin or a PVB interlayer.
This range of glass products is also available with
Hansen Ceraphic screen printing to give a range of
decorative glasses incorporating solar control, glare
reduction properties, diffuse lighting, manifestation,
corporate logos, messages, and to provide privacy.
As a further enhancement for screen printed glass
floors Hansen can provide Ceragrit giving an
anti-slip finish.
