Happy Father’s Day!
It is said that the word mother is mentioned over 300 times in
the Bible and the word father 1300 times. God intended for the man
of the house to be an image of God the Father. Men are to be the
high priest of their family. He is to be the king, the judge, the coun-
selor, the provider, the avenger and protector, fulfilling his duties all
in the image of love (God is love). But above all of these, the man is
to be an example for his wife and children to follow.
The passage found in Gen. 1:26-28 is the foundation in
which the man’s role is established and ordained. The man’s role in
the home not only affects the family physically, but mentally, emo-
tionally and most important, spiritually. In describing the tender,
loving care of God, David said in Psalm 103, “like a father pitieth
his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him.” Tragically, in
our world today, too many men are fathers only in the biological
sense. A man who’s a real father has characteristics of God.
Often times people focus on the wife’s role in submission but
completely miss the vital role of the husband. Today is your day
men and fathers! Today we focus on you and how much we ap-
preciate all you do to fulfill your most vital role in our lives. Happy
Father’s Day!

It is an honor to have you join us in worship at the
Northside Church of Christ! Our mission is to save
souls and to help souls stay saved. We extend our
sincere love towards you and we encourage you to take
advantage of the opportunity to have a bible study with
members who are eager to study with you. If you do not
share our like faith, this bible study, as well as your visit
today, offers a two way opportunity: (1) We have the
chance to share with you the gospel of Jesus Christ and
the essential steps to salvation. (2) You have the chance
to hear, believe, repent, confess, and be baptized where-
by being added to the Church of Christ. We welcome
you to investigate what you hear and see today. You
will be able to ask your biblical questions and receive
biblical answers that will guide you to make an in-
formed, life changing decision. Thank you for being our
special guest! Please come again.

Did You Tell Someone About Jesus?
Matt. 28:19-20 is the great
commission given to members of
the body of Christ. As Christians,
it is our responsibility to Tell,
Talk and Teach others about
Jesus. Telling someone about
Christ will often open the door to
Talk with them about Him. You
can then Teach them or invite
them to Church where they can be
taught. We encourage each Chris-
tian to take advantage of such
opportunities. If you know of a
prospect, and for some reason
cannot conduct a personal Bible
study, please give their contact
information to Bro. and/or Sis.
Oliver or to one of our Leaders.
Welcome to the Family!!
