The same thought is explained in Romans 8 verses 1-14 demonstrating that the adoption is more than a matter of position of status when God adopted us. He put His Spirit within us and we became subject to His Spirit within us and to His control. This involves chastisement (Heb.12:5-11) as well as inheritance. A Word from Our Editor Sister Marilyn Silver

Fathers-Graduates-Life Students

Praise the Lord everybody. We serve an awesome God. He is more than enough. There are so many wonderful things about Him. He blesses us beyond measure, and we have so much to be thankful for. The month of June brings with it many reasons to give praise and celebration unto God. Two popular celebrated occasions in June are Father’s Day and Graduation Day. Fathers are SPECIAL and deserve much honor for being Godly Fathers indeed. A Godly Father is known for loving his family, providing for his family, setting good examples; these are some of the many reasons to appreciate and thank our Fathers who strive to protect the family from hurt and harm. We love you Dads. Keep on seeking the face of God so that the families may be blessed! Graduates are also honored in June. Scholars have put in many hours of study, toiled and suffered with the lack of sleep to reach this goal. To every graduate we say, congratulations and may God ever direct your paths in the way of the Lord. Keep your eyes on the prize who is Christ Jesus. He is our everything. The verb graduate is defined as, to receive a degree or diploma for completing a course of study. In our walk of life, we are considered Life Students;

we are putting in many hours of labor, studying, testing and persevering to receive our just reward. This reward is more than a printed document with a gold seal, or a cap and gown. The reward we seek

is everlasting life. For the word of God tells us in James 1:12 (KJV), “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” Hang in there through the tests, the lectures, the clinics of life. Take heed to the quiet study moments with the Lord. Through heeding the lessons of Christ, we will follow on to know Him. By doing so, we will show forth the love of Christ all along our journey. We know that we have passed (graduated) from death unto life, because we love the brethren (1 John 3:14; John 5:24). In the secular school, we did not enter to remain at one level. So as in the spiritual realm, we did not start with the Lord to remain stagnant, but we must move closer to him to one day receive a crown. My Fellow Life Students, I would like to recommend that you stay in school–that’s stay under the blood of Jesus—until graduation day (death or the rapture). It will be worth it all. God bless you is my prayer.

A FATHERS, LOVE, WISDOM, AND KNOWLEDGE!

Praise the Lord to everyone! I want to wish all the Fathers a very Happy Father’s Day! To the greatest Father of Fathers, God Almighty, thank you for being our everything, saving us, delivering us, healing us, keeping us and the list goes on and on! I was thinking about the wisdom of a Father and so I thought I would add in a very small part of a scripture and some common sense that a Father would give to his child. And, if we being the child would follow, it will bring great success with God and man!

Proverb:3:1-6 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Thank You Jesus

I thank you for my life, health and strength. I thank you for being so good to me. You bless me as I go through my trials and tribulations.

I thank God because six months ago I lost my voice for about an hour. Hallelujah, God began to bring my voice back. That’s why I always say, “There is something about the name of Jesus, the sweetest name I know. Oh, how I love the name of Jesus.”

I thank God for His blessings large and small. Thank you dear Lord for them all. So, let’s be more like Jesus. Let’s fill our hearts with love, forgiveness and compassion. Let’s pray for one another. Thank you Jesus.

Never Satisfied Until Sanctified

God bless you all. I just want to talk

about the whole man and woman. Things

happen in life with our jobs, families, spouses,

bills, etc. We can’t seem to get a grip on life.

Many have tried different relationships, drugs,

drinking, etc. looking for satisfaction and

answers.

Philippians 4:13 states, “I can do all

things through Christ which strengtheneth

me.” So this lets me know that these situations

with our jobs, families, bills, spouses, drugs,

drinking, and etc. can be changed through

Christ, because He satisfies.

In my closing I would just like to say,

stop doing the 360 degrees - going around in

circles - and get on the 180 degrees track.

Turn to Jesus because He Satisfies and

Sanctifies with the Holy Ghost.

God bless you and keep you and, again,

remember you will never be Satisfied until you

get Sanctified.

Satisfied ... Because I’m Sanctified!

THE ESSENCE OF THE FATHER'S ROLE

by: Author UNKNOWN

The essence of the father's role

Is to mirror God's own heart And to value instruction in God's ways

With the grace that God imparts

Every father needs God's wisdom To carry out his role

As the tower of strength and support, For each fragile heart he holds

And there's no greater reward in life

For a father to take his place And uphold the values of the Lord

With integrity and grace.

Proverbs 17:27 A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered.

Proverbs 3:11-12 My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline

and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a

father the son he delights in.

June is the month we celebrate

Father's Day. As I think about it, for my dad I

purchase a card, a gift and take him to

dinner. My dad has been a great provider and

Father figure. He always reminded me as I

was growing up to be the best that I could be

and to always put God first in my life. What

great advice he provided and I passed it on to

my daughter.

This year I want to focus on my

heavenly Father. I would like all of you to

take time to think about the love that He

provides us and is always with us. He hears

all of us at the same time and has never failed

us yet. He is a God of love, peace and joy. So,

as we celebrate Father's Day, remember God

and thank Him too for all that he has done

and is going to do. Ps 136:1, “O give thanks

unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy

endureth for ever.”

Blessings and Happy Father’s Day.

The Hurting Church: Why we get hurt and hurt others -Written by Gail Rodgers

(submitted by: Mother Ruby Beanum) The hurting church is not an occasional dilem-ma. More and more often we find people who have been hurt deeply within the family of God, leaving them worn and exhausted. More and more often we find leaders in conflict within the body of believers, robbed of the joy Jesus promised in Him. When we find this hurt hanging on to our own bruised soul, it can make us want to leave the church and sometimes even want to “back burner” our God who seems to have allowed it all. Do not Leave your Church! Sadly, we have come to accept that this is the way church is. There is an epidemic of fractured believers out there and we have actually come to accept this as the norm. So we either stay away and let our hearts become cold … or we put on our Sunday best, call “forward march” and implement a new vision or program and hope the problems will just go away. The hurt in indi-vidual hearts and churches gets buried … until it gets bumped again. Can we break this cycle that happens over and over in heart after heart, and church after church? I am continually amazed at the simplicity of God’s Word and the direct instructions He shares with us. The Fa-ther’s heart toward us, His children, is so open and lov-ing as He instructs us in living in the day-to-day chal-lenges of rubbing shoulders where the rubber meets the road. The steps God gives us are simple, though not necessarily easy. They are steps that can help us move from being reac-tive in conflict to becoming proactive in guarding our hearts and our churches. And, as steps always do, they will take us to higher ground where we can live above disunity and confusion. The framework these steps are built on is love. Love is also the handrail that helps move us along from one step to another. Without love, the steps move us from the fulfillment of right living that God calls us to, to self- righteous living, which is hollow and void of the power of the Holy Spirit. God says our trademark will be love. “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35). (Steps 1 thru 3 – printed in previous issues) Step 4: Acknowledge Pride Scripture says, “God resists, or opposes, the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6). Pride is a killer. It is one of the subtlest tools of the enemy. God actually resists the proud! Who would want to be opposed by God! Yet in the church we often do find pride, but it wears a different cloak than it does out in the world. In Christian circles we know that pride in our position

and possessions is not a godly thing. We scorn openly the pursuit of “fame and fortune” alone. Yet pride exists in our hearts and in our churches in two prominent ways that we often try to justify. There is pride in standing for a “principle of righteous-ness” while walking away from reconciliation. Making such a stand is not wrong in itself; however it is very of-ten accompanied by a lack of grace and a spiritual supe-riority that cuts off the Spirit of God from working in a situation. If you are ever tempted to “stand for right-eousness” against another Christian brother or sister, check if your trademark of love is visible, make sure your heart is clean in all the secret places and that you have done all you can to live at peace (Romans 12:18). If the basis for your stand is your own pride be very care-ful, for God does resist the proud. The second place pride plays a major role in the church is in the area of spiritual gifts. You may have a discern-ing heart or a prophetic gifting. God may reveal truth to you in a situation or even in the life of another. Again, be very careful. God calls us first to prayer and often, to nothing more. If words are to be spoken God will clearly reveal that, but the first task is to obey the call to prayer. Much damage has been done in the church when some-one feels they have received a word from God and simp-ly talks, rather than prays, about it. If you think you sense something pray, pray, pray and God will reveal if there is anything else He requires. God’s whisper in our Spirit will never be in conflict with what He directs in His Word. When we speak in spiritual pride, the Spirit is grieved and we cut off that which God was at work doing in our lives and in the situation (1 Corinthians 13). The simple question to ask before opening your mouth is: “Will this lift Jesus higher or will this lift me higher?” Be slow to speak, especially words that sow negative seeds about another, and be quick to listen. Ephesians 4:29-30 says, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God…” ...TO BE CONTINUED

As a caregiver do you ever feel as if you are being bombarded by the “fiery arrows” of negative emotions? (Ephesians 6:16) Negative emotions can so easily spring up in the midst of caregiving chaos and heartache. So how does a caregiver fight the “fiery arrows” of negative emotions? One way I think one can do this is my remembering the good things that still are present in one’s life. Caregiving can be physically, emotionally, and spiritually draining. There always are blessings in one’s life, however, we need to look for them and be grateful for them. We also need to look for the wonders of God’s working and guidance in our lives. If we look for these things we will find them. If we look for these things it will also help to soothe the negative emotions. Caring for someone with a terminal or serious disease can be frightening at times. This is because the future is so uncertain. Hence, fear and other negative emotions can quickly surface. It is wise to take it one

day at a time and one step at a time. It is also wise to leave the future in the hands of the Lord. Caregivers tend to be great advocates for their loved ones. In the end, however, caregivers need to remember that they are not in control. God alone holds their futures and the futures of their loved ones.

In the measure caregivers can rest in the Lord’s care the negative emotions will be soothed. Dear Christian Caregiver, remember that emotions negative or otherwise are just feelings. Feelings are not necessarily based on truth. Only God’s Word and resting on your faith in God is the source of truth. Look for the blessings in your life, and rest in His truth.

2nd Sunday Service…Breakthrough!! 2nd Sunday-May 10th (Mother’s Day)

The Lord poured out his spirit upon us on this day.

His presence filled the Temple. Testimonies and songs

of praise touched our hearts while the anointing

broke yokes and ministered unto us. Pastor Beanum

shared words of encouragement as he stood in the gap

while the move of GOD took control in the midst of

God’s people. Some ran, some walked, some cried, but

all were blessed to witness the power of God being

poured out in the house. Lord we just want to Thank

YOU! And the Church said, “AMEN!”

Home Going Service for Brother Henry Junior Jackson

Brother Henry Jackson touched the lives of so many. A celebration of his life was held on May 9th at the Temple Of Deliverance. Pastor Lynn W. Beanum, Jr. officiated and delivered the eulogy. His topic was “We are Trusting God to Make it.” Scripture was taken from Psalm 121:1-4, “1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” Pastor Beanum reminded us that “God will never waiver. If God says it, He means it. We don’t have to sin. We can live Holy!” Music was delivered through solo, duet and choir selections. God encouraged our hearts as we fellowshipped together with family and friends. Brother Jackson’s smile and kind words will be missed. Let’s continue to pray for his sister, Mother Alice Robinson, his son, Barry Jackson and the entire Jackson family. We know that God is a comforter and will give us the strength we need to face tomorrow.
