Last year, on behalf of VIKASH-SAMUKHYA, its parent institution AIHMS-Global had been awarded the International UHCDAY-2019 Micro-Grant to celebrate the special day on 12th

December 2019 at New Delhi, sponsored by Global Health Strategies, USA (GHS) & Civil Society Engagement Mechanism (CSEM), USA. Last year’s theme was “Keep the Promise” that should act as a reminder to all concerned to make “Health for All” a reality with no one to be left behind!!!!

With all our Patrons & Partners, we did celebrate the event at Delhi and other 20 places across different states in India, supported by our 505 CSO Partners. The details were sent to you in the last issue of “PARTNERS PAGE” and also in a separate email by the end of last year. If you have not received it, kindly write to us ASAP.

SDG-3: Good Health & Wellbeing


EKTA observed the World AIDS Day on 1st December 2019 through

teachers & students in outreach areas of Koraput District with

sponsorship of the H&FW Department of Government of Odisha



AESO organized Artificial Limb Fitment Camp in Haryana with trained

Healthcare Providers, Community Care Givers, Gatekeepers &

Stakeholders on important issues of Rehabilitative Health



EKTA conducted Mobile Health Clinics & Awareness Programs last month

with public providers & other stakeholders on different health, nutrition

& WASH issues in the tribal dominated districts of Odisha



HSS has conducted a number of Eye Check-up Camps, led by its

Healthcare Providers & Community Health Volunteers in the outreach

areas of Gonda District in Uttar Pradesh during last couple of months



SSDHES has observed the World AIDS Day with its Healthcare Providers &

Community Health Volunteers in the outreach areas of Rajasthan on

1st December 2019 by generating awareness among village women



SVS has conducted Health Camps with its Healthcare Providers &

Community Health Volunteers in the outreach areas of Bihar on

Common Childhood Illnesses and other diseases

SDG-4: Quality Education


EKTA conducted Special Education Programs for the school children and

community members in tribal villages of Odisha & encourages them to

preserve their own culture, language and traditions



HYS organized Special Free Secondary Education classes for the students

in villages of Bihar & encouraged them to continue their formal education

by distributing educational materials & guidance to the poor and needy



SSDHES is helping the students of Primary Schools in Rajasthan by

distributing school bags, uniforms and sweaters, which is well

appreciated by the State Department of Education and Local Communities

SDG-5: Gender Equality


GSP conducts Special Empowerment Workshops for Women and PRI

Members in villages of Odisha & encourages them to become Change

Agents by building their capacities on local self-governance

SDG-6: Clean Water & Sanitation


YRA conducted Community Level Workshops in village for Women Self

Help Group Members to encourage them to take care of their families on

issues of Health, Hygiene, Safe Water and Sanitation

SDG-8: Decent Work & Economic Growth


PRASTUTEE participated at District Level Workshop and conducted

Workshops at Block level for Women Self Help Group Members in

encouraging them to start the E-Shakti Digitization Processes in Odisha



PMSKS continued the Financial Literacy Training Programs for Women

Self Help Group Members in Madhya Pradesh to make them self-reliant

with help of State Government & Local Banks



SSDHES conducted Farm Training Programs in Rajasthan for Women

from outreach areas by connecting them to livelihood options for their

sustainable economic growth through corporate sponsorships

SDG-10: Reduced Inequality


EKTA is actively pursuing its Rehabilitative Health Programs by providing

necessary rehabilitation packages to the needy and poor persons with

disability from the marginalized communities in remote areas of Odisha

and observed the International Day for the Disabled in December 2019

GKSSS, Madhya Pradesh conducted Special Campaigns to Provide Care &

Protection to the Adolescents from abuse & violence and making them

aware about their rights, privileges, schemes and entitlements

Production


PRASTUTEE conducted Orientation Programs for communities both at

block & village levels in Odisha on Marketing of Agricultural Products to

make them self-reliant with new vocational trades & entrepreneurships

SDG-13: Climate Action


GSP has started a special campaign on “Climate Change & Disaster

Management” in coastal districts of Odisha with government sponsorship

by involving the local communities during distress and disaster

SDG-16: Peace & Justice Strong

YRA has been conducting “Bal Panchayats” among the Primary School

Students in Maharashtra to orient them about the roles and

responsibilities of Local Bodies and about their governance structure

SDG-17: Partnerships for the Goals


MBR, Odisha has participated in a National Seminar on Green Technology

for Environment, organized by the North Odisha University in Baripada



AIHMS-Global & VIKASH-SAMUKHYA participated in National Conferences &

Symposia by Indian Institutes & Commercial Establishments to strengthen

the Civil Society Agenda of #right2sustainability in achieving 169 set

targets of the 17 UN Sponsored Sustainable Development Goals by 2030

MMS is actively promoting Rural Free Health Check-up Camps in the state

of Rajasthan that attract several patients from different villages, which is

a very unique concept contributing to the cause of sustainable health &

wellbeing in the state since last couple of years

BKS, Jharkhand was appreciated by the Local Press for their all-round

efforts in contributing to the cause of “Human Rights” by celebrating the

World Human Rights Day on 10th December 2019

GKSSS has organized the Global Conclave with delegates from

neighbouring countries to aware the on the issues of SDGs and its

achievements in South Asia, which was hailed by the local press and

other stakeholders in Madhya Pradesh & other states of India

Government in Public Health category for its selfless services to the

marginalized communities in the outreach areas of Bharatpur District

Afterthoughts:

We are planning a Follow-up Session of the UHC-DAY Convention at National level in April 2020,where we will release a Brief Report of the same with the edited materials of the process documentation.
