Our registration in the morning is at 08:20 and is preceded by a warning bell at 08:15. We expect all students to be at their tutor bases by 08:20. If a student is late they have a 40 minute detention that night. Every late in the same week after that is an hour
Students must ensure they arrive on time to all lessons – the timing of the Academy Day is in all student planners. Students will have 3 minutes to get to any lesson from a changeover or end of break/lunch
•Students who miss more than 50% of school - only 3% manage to achieve five A* to C GCSE’s including English and Maths. DFE (2012)
•Students with attendance less than 90% - only 35% manage to achieve five A* to C GCSE’s including English and Maths. DFE (2012)
•Students with attendance over 95%- 75% manage to achieve five A* to C GCSE’s including English and Maths. DFE (2012)
There is no excuse for poor attendance. All student attendance MUST be above 97% (6 days lost) 99% punctuality.

Thank you for showing a respectful and mature attitude
around the Academy.
Please give this card to the canteen to receive a free lunch.
Well done!
• We always walk on the left around the buildings and
corridors.
• We don’t shout or raise our voices.
• We greet people politely when we meet them around the
academy.
• We hold doors for people and show courtesy at all times.
• We don’t drop litter or damage property in any way.
• We wear our uniform properly at all times.
• We show respect by being punctual to all lessons.
• We always leave the table in the dining room clear and tidy.
• We are leaders – if we see a problem we deal with it.
• We do not fight or use physical violence. If we are unable to
settle our difference through discussion we should go to a
teacher for help.
• We do not misuse the Academy computer network and we
will respect property at all times
• On entering a classroom we will ensure that we take our
equipment out (student planner, pen, pencil, and ruler)
unless we are told otherwise by the teacher.
