in the state legislature. Goggle House Bill HB 5218

A feed-in-tariff is a law that requires the utility company to purchase from the energy producer any electricity that is put on the grid for a premium over their highest retail rate.◦ HB 5218 lists solar electric power at 65 cents a

kwh. Your rates now are between 6 cents a kwh to 12 cents a khw.

No need for new coal fired power plants. Distributed generation is more efficient. Distributed generation reduces our

exposure to terrorism. Solar electric produces the most power

when the utility companies are most likely to experience brown/blackouts.

The turbines of today are quieter and more powerful than those of yesterday.

The Green Team only uses wind turbines that are made in America.

Michigan has the 14th best wind potential in the country.

Most zoning ordinances require you to have enough property where the tower can fall in any direction without hitting a structure, and staying back from the property setback requirements.

The turbine should be a minimum of thirty feet above any obstruction within 300’ radius.

Michigan receives 4.2 hours of ‘peak’ sun a day on an annual bases.

Germany receives less sun and is beating their goal of 20% RE by 2020.

The colder a panel is the more voltage it produces.

Panels in Arizona receive more sun but they produce less voltage per hour of peak sun

Solar panels have completely changed. They can be many things. To name a few

they can be awnings, roofing shingles, panels placed on a roof, or structural roofing panels.

They can add to the esthetics of a house or commercial building.

They even come in a couple different colors.

Is solar thermal a good option for me?

Most locations can benefit from at least one form of renewable energy.

Some can benefit from multiple sources of renewable energy.

Solar electric, wind, hydro, solar thermal water heating, solar thermal pool heating, passive solar, solar thermal home heating & air conditioning, can be mixed and matched to optimize the specific resources available.

We inspect over thirty areas for energy loss. You will receive a report on your site, and

how efficient it is in all the areas checked. Improvements will be recommended in order

of potential payback. Different members of The Green Team can

complete all areas of energy improvements. Utility company rebates and tax credits may

apply.
