Spring is a fantastic time of year; it’s when the whole garden begins to come back to life after the long winter period. Seeing the snowdrops and daffodils force their way through puts a smile on everyone’s face. It makes us think of warmer times to come. It’s also a great opportunity to prepare the garden and get ready for barbecuing and entertaining during the late spring and early summer months when we enjoy some sunshine.

The Amalfi collection has proven to be a modern classic and one of Hartman’s most popular cast aluminium ranges. The stylised design and organic flowing lines makes the Amalfi easy to recognise. Ergonomically designed for comfort , it is lightweight, yet strong and virtually maintenance free. The chairs are fully assembled and can be stacked for storage, the tables are flat packed but include all fixtures and fittings for easy home assembly. The Amalfi is accompanied by luxurious cushions which are hard - wearing and easy to clean. All dining sets include a parasol with a crank handle and a tilt operation for easy use. The sets are completed by a sturdy 15kg base.

The all new Berkeley range is available as both a four seat and six seat round dining set. The Rocco range with its clear cut modern lines offers excellent value for money, it is available as a two seat bistro or bench, four seat round or a six seat rectangular. The Palermo sets are ideal for both dining and relaxing. The comfortable all weather texteline fabric combined with richly coloured, sturdy framed cast aluminium is pure design fusion. Relaxing in a Palermo chair is heavenly, generously proportioned it has a contoured shape with deep seats and we think it is one of the most comfortable chairs you will ever sit in. The range comes in 4 seat or 6 seat sets with the option of stone or cast tables. The Palermo range also offers the option of a wood burning outdoor fire pit which is everyone’s favourite summer gathering place especially when the evenings start to draw in and there is an autumnal chill in the air, you can light the fire pit and enjoy your garden for even longer.

Warmer weather and lighter evenings bring plenty of opportunities to spend more time outside relaxing, eating and drinking or having a party. The patio or terrace area becomes an integral part of the house and garden, a great place for your garden furniture, barbecue, outdoor lighting and of course pots and baskets of summer flowering plants, and of course this is the time of year when you will benefit from fragrant climbers and shrubs growing near your patio. The sweet smell of Honeysuckle, and Jasmine or even a chocolate scented Cosmos on the evening air can really enhance the enjoyment of your outdoor space. You can easily disguise a plain outside wall or fence by adding hanging baskets or wall mangers filled with summer bedding to create a vibrant entertaining and relaxing area.
